Company Description

Newton Research is a fast-growing software start-up founded by repeat entrepreneurs and well-funded by blue chip venture capital firms. We build products that leverage AI agents to handle complex marketing analytics workflows for our customers and partners.

Role Description

The Engagement Manager sits at the intersection of strategic partnership and technical delivery. You will own a portfolio of customer relationships end-to-end, from understanding each customer's broader analytics ambitions to ensuring that Newton's solutions are being implemented with precision and purpose. You will work closely with Solutions Engineers to oversee day-to-day delivery while serving as the strategic voice in the room when customers are thinking about where they're headed next.

This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable in a roadmap planning session with a client’s VP of Analytics and in a working session reviewing a Solutions Engineer’s implementation plan. While this is not primarily a hands-on builder role, Engagement Managers are expected to develop meaningful proficiency in the Newton platform, using it directly to explore customer data, validate solutions, and build workflows where appropriate.

ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement
  • Lead pre-sales requirements gathering and scoping for prospective customers, producing documentation that defines use cases, data requirements, success criteria, and delivery timelines before a deal closes.
  • Own the implementation roadmap for a defined portfolio of customers, translating business goals into phased plans and overseeing Solutions Engineers to ensure delivery quality and alignment.
  • Stay ahead of each customer’s evolving needs, proactively identifying opportunities to expand or deepen Newton’s role in their analytics workflows.
  • Serve as the senior point of escalation across your accounts, maintaining continuity and trust through the full customer relationship.
Internal Collaboration
  • Provide Solutions Engineers with the business context they need to build the right things, ensuring implementation plans reflect customer intent, not just technical requirements.
  • Bring patterns and insights from your portfolio to Product, Engineering, and Data Science by connecting what customers are asking for with what Newton should build next.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in advertising technology, marketing analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
  • Experience overseeing or mentoring more junior technical or customer-facing colleagues.
  • Strong enough technical fluency to engage meaningfully with Solutions Engineers and assess implementation quality (SQL and/or Python familiarity preferred).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can write a concise exec summary and run a working-level review in the same afternoon.
  • Highly organized with a bias toward structure; comfortable managing multiple accounts simultaneously without losing the detail.

Base Salary Range: $150,000-$170,000
