About Team

The CRM Technologies Team plays a critical role in optimizing our sales processes, streamlining customer interactions, and maximizing the efficiency of our sales efforts. By leveraging Salesforce and Quote-to-Cash technologies, the team ensures that business users have the tools, automation, and operational support needed to effectively manage quoting, pricing, approvals, and downstream business processes.

With deep expertise in Salesforce development, CPQ, integrations, and platform operations, the team continuously enhances the CRM ecosystem to meet evolving business needs. The team partners closely with stakeholders across Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, and Engineering to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable Quote-to-Cash solutions.

This position supports systems and data subject to FedRAMP and other U.S. government compliance requirements. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.

Role Overview

We are looking for a CPQ Engineer III to design, build, and support core capabilities in our Configure–Price–Quote (CPQ) stack that power how our GTM teams sell and price MongoDB offerings. As a senior individual contributor, you will own end-to-end delivery of features across configuration, pricing, discounting, approvals, and quote generation, working closely with Product, Deal Strategy, RevOps, and Sales.

You will translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions on Salesforce CPQ and related platforms, spanning configuration, custom development (Apex/LWC/Flows), and integrations with downstream systems. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused: you will be responsible for implementing well-structured, testable solutions, improving performance and reliability of existing CPQ flows, and contributing to shared patterns, frameworks, and best practices within the CPQ & RevOps engineering team.

What you’ll do
  • Design, build, and support Salesforce solutions across product modeling, pricing, quoting, approvals, amendments, and renewals
  • Configure and enhance CPQ capabilities including product rules, price rules, bundles, product options, quote templates, discounting, and approval workflows
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Deal Desk to understand requirements, identify process gaps, and deliver scalable business solutions
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and platform APIs to support related processes
  • Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external systems such as ERP, billing, payment, contract, and other enterprise platforms
  • Participate in technical design, story grooming, sprint planning, testing, code reviews, release management, and production deployments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across CPQ configuration, pricing logic, automation, integrations, and system performance
  • Support documentation, UAT, regression testing, and user enablement to improve adoption and platform reliability
  • Ensure solutions align with security, data governance, and Salesforce platform best practices
  • Leverage AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce, GitHub Copilot, and similar capabilities to improve productivity, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation, while using sound judgment around security, accuracy, and responsible AI usage
Responsibilities
  • Technical Delivery: Translate complex business strategies into scalable technical solutions on Salesforce CPQ, utilizing a mix of declarative configuration and custom development (Apex, LWC, and Flow)
  • System Architecture: Design and implement robust integrations between CPQ and downstream systems (ERP, Billing, Telemetry) to ensure data integrity across the Lead-to-Cash lifecycle
  • Engineering Excellence: Drive high standards for code quality by implementing testable, modular solutions and contributing to shared frameworks and CI/CD best practices
  • Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in existing CPQ flows, improving calculator speed and user experience for a global sales force
  • Mentorship & Influence: Lead peer code reviews and contribute to the team’s technical playbook, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the CPQ & RevOps engineering organization
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of Salesforce development experience, including strong hands-on expertise in the Salesforce platform
  • Good understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, sales workflows, and Salesforce best practices
  • Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIs
  • Experience with product modeling, pricing rules, quoting workflows, approvals, amendments, and renewals
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems such as ERP, billing, payment, or other enterprise platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, version control, and Salesforce release practices
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data governance, and implementation best practices
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist and Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certifications required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Billing and its underlying data model
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows, or similar DevOps tooling
  • Familiarity with Visualforce, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Experience preparing training materials, supporting UAT/regression testing, and guiding business users through solution adoption
  • Practical familiarity with AI-powered and agentic tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce, and similar platforms, with the ability to use them thoughtfully to improve delivery speed, analysis, documentation quality, and engineering effectiveness
Success Measures
  • In 3 months, you will: Develop a strong understanding of MongoDB’s CPQ implementation, product and pricing structure, Quote-to-Cash flows, and stakeholder processes
  • In 6 months, you will: Successfully deliver meaningful enhancements across Salesforce CPQ, support key pricing and quoting workflows, and become a dependable contributor to ongoing QTC initiatives
  • In 12 months, you will: Become a trusted technical SME for Salesforce CPQ and related Quote-to-Cash processes, helping drive scalable improvements across pricing, approvals, renewals, amendments, and downstream integrations
