Reporting to the Director of Information Security, the DevSecOps Engineer will assist with all matters pertaining to the efficient deployment and management of security platforms and tooling in AWS Cloud environments.
What You’ll Be Doing: Bridging the gap between Development, Security, and Operations
- Working with engineers to overhaul and develop a security framework for all development and AWS cloud operations
- Develop and deploy a new CI/CD pipeline that includes vulnerability assessments built in
- Secure Git operations and implement a new vault system for managing secrets
- Secure AWS infrastructure by leveraging COTS and open source tooling to identify and remediate miss-configurations, vulnerabilities, and risks
General Responsibilities:
- Review AWS configurations and access methods to secure both authentication and authorization
- Embed yourself into the engineering groups to understand their work-flows and how to secure and optimize them
- Develop and update cloud standards, policies, and procedures as well as best practices documentation in line with compliance and security requirements
- Assist the Compliance and InfoSec teams by developing tooling and dashboards to ensure continuous compliance
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 3-5 years of experience in a develops or development focused role
- Experience with AWS technologies, APIs, and core concepts
- Experience with common RestFul API programming techniques
- Experience with CI/CD and agile development techniques
- Self-starter, organized, efficient, and proactive
- Great communication skills
