We are looking for an Information Security Manager who will work with the CTO to lead security initiatives by developing and managing all Information Security processes and policies at Boxed. 

 Customers are critical to our business.  Boxed is looking for a passionate individual to continue spearheading our information security program.  This unique role will require a mix of in-depth security knowledge, regulatory knowledge and management and oversight of security tooling.  Day-to-day responsibilities include organization wide security guidance and advisory, collaborating with the engineering and legal teams on technology choices and software security, and identification and mitigation of security risks across the organization.

 You will:

• evangelize information security across the organization
• lead and own the Boxed information security program including development of policies, implementation of tooling, and organization-wide enforcement
• champion data security and privacy initiatives across the organization as the regulatory landscape evolves
• proactively identify security risks and develop solutions to eliminate or minimize risks
• work closely with other teams to build security protocols and programs for various new initiatives
• conduct regular security audits and assessments using industry security tools, standards, and frameworks
• hire around you to continue to support security needs as the company scales
• receive a competitive salary and equity

Your Foundations: 

• a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related degree
• 7+ years in an information security role
• Hands-on experience in performing threat modeling, penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
• Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO, PCI), cloud infrastructure (AWS/ GCP) and application security best practices (OWASP)
• experience working with mobile and web technologies a plus
• experience leading and managing cross-functional projects
• ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
• a passion for information security
