The Opportunity:

Information security is a critical function at Unqork. This role will work directly with the CISO to evaluate security risk and improve information security process and procedures.

• Work with product team to review enhancement requests for security risk
• Direct hands on security tool and technology experience- DLP tools, IDS/IPS, Ddos, Firewalls, SIEM tools
• Direct understanding on OWASP and Secure coding best practices
• Collaborate with engineering team to evaluate security risk in cloud hosting environment
• Partner with engineer team to carry out changes for security requests including new roles, role changes, auditing permissions, reviewing logs, and responding to security alerts
• Evaluate Client application workflows and architecture for risk concerns
• Create and respond to SIEM (Security Incident Event Management) alerts

What we’re looking for:

• Interest and experience in the information security space
• Security certifications and/or training (e.g. CISSP, Security+, GIAC, Certified Ethical Hack, CISM, CISA, etc.)
• Experience building and responding to SEIM alerts and incident management
• Strong technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them to a technical and non-technical audience
• Familiarity with data protection regulations including GDPR and ISO-27001 (among others)
• Basic understanding of cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
