Job Description Summary

The Events Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of meetings and events within a dynamic corporate environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between the client, event hosts, employees, and internal and external partners to deliver exceptional event experiences that align with the client's brand, culture, and business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, service-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and event management. They possess strong relationship-building skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. In addition to overseeing day-to-day event operations, the Events Manager is responsible for developing and continuously improving event programs, operating standards, and service delivery practices to ensure a seamless and elevated experience for all stakeholders.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Strategy & Program Management

  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance meeting and event programs, standard operating procedures, service standards, and execution protocols.
  • Establish scalable event processes that support operational excellence and align with client objectives.
  • Analyze event feedback, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Manage the full event lifecycle, including consultation, planning, logistics coordination, execution, and post-event review.
  • Partner with meeting hosts and stakeholders to understand event objectives and recommend appropriate space configurations, technology solutions, catering, décor, signage, and guest experience enhancements.
  • Provide on-site leadership and support during events, ensuring seamless execution and timely resolution of issues.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and gather stakeholder feedback to measure success and improve future events.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, event hosts, executives, and business partners regarding meetings and events.
  • Deliver a high-touch, hospitality-driven service experience, including white-glove support for executive and high-profile events.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain a thorough understanding of business priorities and event requirements.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Manage event budgets and associated financial processes, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to client guidelines.
  • Coordinate contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payment processes as required.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure service delivery meets established expectations and quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Facilities Management, Audio Visual Services, Catering, Reception, Security, Janitorial Services, and other operational teams to ensure all event requirements are met.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of meeting spaces, room configurations, technology capabilities, and workplace amenities.
  • Establish and maintain escalation procedures and service recovery protocols to address operational challenges effectively.

Team Leadership

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to Event Coordinators and other team members, when applicable.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

IMPORTANT EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of meeting or events experience

  • Position might require frequent reaching, bending, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 99,450.00 - $117,000.00
