About the Role

Our Global Events team understands the critical business impact we can make through events and experiences. As Senior Events Marketing Specialist, you'll play a key role in bringing Veeam's flagship internal events to life, including Veeam Launchpad (VL), our annual global sales kickoff; Veeam eXcellence (VX), our incentive event for top performers; and Veeam Quotient (VQ), our leadership summit.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem solver, and strong communicator who is detail-oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills. In this role, you'll support the team that plans, manages, and executes memorable and engaging experiences. You thrive in ambiguity, proactively seek solutions, and embrace change with agility, and you're comfortable making independent decisions and taking ownership of tasks while balancing multiple priorities. You'll report to the Senior Manager on the Global Events team and support project leads across several internal programs.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead individual workstreams across various internal events, owning timelines, milestones, and deliverables that align with event strategy and business goals
  • Manage day-to-day operations with external agency partners and vendors, including briefings, timelines, and deliverables
  • Support the building and updating of registration sites and attendee portals, manage communications, and pull reports to evaluate performance
  • Support attendee gifting and giveaways, from proposing ideas to working with vendors and placing orders through fulfillment
  • Submit and track purchase requisitions and invoices; reconcile against event budgets and maintain accurate budget tracking
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, innovate event formats, and increase efficiency, including through AI tools
What You’ll Bring
  • 4+ years of experience in event management, event production, or experiential marketing, ideally including internal or large-scale events
  • Demonstrated experience leading a workstream or owning an event workstream from ideation through execution, including timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Hands-on experience with Cvent for registration and attendee management
  • An independent self-starter who is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced environments with minimal guidance, resilient, flexible, and agile
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization, including senior stakeholder
  • A team player who enjoys healthy debate around ideas, drives toward team goals, and leads with trust and empathy
  • Tech literate and comfortable learning new platforms and tools; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
Bonus Skills
  • Experience supporting internal events such as sales kickoffs, leadership summits, or company-wide programs
  • Experience with additional event platforms such as RainFocus, Swoogo, Zoom, or Teams
  • Experience with Coupa for purchasing and invoicing
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT
  • Passion for creating innovative, high-impact experiences that leave a lasting impression on attendees

If you are an innovative, self-motivated team player who thrives in dynamic environments and loves creating exceptional experiences, we'd love to have you join our team!
