Job Summary:

The EVP, Chief Growth Officer is responsible for orchestrating the entire New Business lifecycle, from vetting new opportunities, making the case to go/no go to leadership, building the right team, developing the win theme and pitch story, and ensuring that all work from start to finish is on brief. Importantly, you’re also responsible for developing strategies and plans to close the deal in a way that supports agency and network financial needs. 

You have a passion and drive for new business and a knack for getting teams organized and confidently prepared. Your ability to understand what is needed for and from the process and how to align many different workstreams delivers the winning formula. You have a gift for seeing and keeping that winning rhythm and an unrelenting drive to determine the best shape and frame for each situation and team.

strengthen our teams. Many of our employees who live within commuting distance (90 minutes) from one of our Headquarter or Hub Offices (New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles) are required to work in the office 2-3 days per week including one Team Day. The minimum number of days may vary by office and role. Dentsu may designate other HQ or Hub offices at any time. Those who do not live near an office may be designated as a remote employee, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect you to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office from time to time.

What You’ll Do:

  • Direct and bring new thinking, ideas to all of the agency’s new business activity for the US.

  • Lead the development of winning RFI/RPFs

  • Lead the process for all meetings, from chemistry to final, always keeping the win theme and story in mind, through to closing the deal

  • Be the main contact for consultant/client relationships throughout the pitch process

  • Coordinate the talent required for pitches, from the agency and the network

  • Partner with global team on global pitches and any other global infrastructure needs

  • Assist, organize and develop agency strategy for existing client organic growth.  

  • Assess agency positioning within the marketplace and create business development strategy to position the agency within the industry

  • Oversee pitch budgets and any other financial requirements

  • Partner with Marketing regarding PR on announcements and other marketing efforts related to New Business

  • Manage communications and relationship with RECMA and COMvergence and other growth related intermediaries.

  • Lead, operate, and mentor a team of growth professionals 

What You’ll Need:

  • Knowledge and experience with the media landscape, project management, and the media planning and buying industry

  • Managerial experience, for your team, agency teams, and agency/network leadership

  • Experience with negotiating staffing and compensation plans

  • Strong leadership skills that brings people along in a positive and collaborative way

  • Exceptional written, verbal communication skills

  • Handle multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure

  • Strong negotiating skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Strong relationship-building skills including maintaining positive relationships with all teams: agency, growth, executive

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

The annual base salary range for this position is $206,000-$316,250. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
