Our Story

TopDog Law is not your typical law firm. We're a nationally scaling personal injury firm built for impact and growth — owning the client experience end-to-end, from marketing and intake through litigation. We believe that world-class marketing, paired with exceptional legal talent and operations, creates better experiences and outcomes for clients and the business alike.

Over the past three years, we've grown 2–3x year over year, setting a new standard on the marketing side of the personal injury space and proving what's possible when strategy, speed, and execution align. Now we're applying that same discipline and innovation to firm operations, case management, and national scale — intentionally building the infrastructure, systems, and teams to grow without sacrificing quality, culture, or accountability.

We are a fully remote team that share trust, open communication, and a commitment to doing great work. If you love ownership, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want to help build something exceptional, you'll feel right at home here.

The Opportunity

This is not a support role. The Chief of Staff (reporting to the President) is the operating partner to the President of one of the fastest-growing personal injury firms in the country. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, turning vision into action across every function of the business. TopDog Law is scaling rapidly and the complexity of running the organization grows every quarter. New states, new hires, new systems, new partners. The President needs someone who can hold the operational picture together, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure the most important priorities get done, not just discussed. This role requires someone who leads without ego, communicates with precision, and thrives in an environment where the game plan changes fast. You will not be managing logistics. You will be managing outcomes.

What You Will Own

STRATEGIC PLANNING & EXECUTION

● Partner with the President to translate company strategy into quarterly priorities, OKRs, and execution plans across all departments

● Own the President's strategic calendar, ensuring his time and energy are allocated to the highest leverage opportunities

● Track company-wide initiatives from kickoff to completion, identifying blockers early and driving resolution

● Prepare the President for board meetings, investor updates, and executive off-sites with clear briefing materials and talking points

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

● Serve as the connective tissue across law firm ops, finance, technology, marketing, and people — ensuring departments are aligned and moving in the same direction

● Lead or co-lead high-priority cross-functional projects on behalf of the President

● Surface conflicts, misalignments, and execution gaps before they escalate and drive resolution across stakeholders

● Represent the President in key internal meetings when needed, with the authority to make decisions and commit resources

OPERATIONS & ACCOUNTABILITY

● Build and maintain a rhythm of business: weekly leadership syncs, monthly business reviews, and quarterly planning cycles

● Own the operating cadence for state managing attorneys, tracking performance, action items, and follow through

● Identify operational inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve systems, processes, and team structure

● Manage a portfolio of open loops across hiring, state launches, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships — nothing falls through the cracks

EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

● Draft and review high-stakes communications on behalf of the President, including board updates, all hands messaging, and external partner correspondence

● Manage relationships with the advisory board, capital partners, and key external stakeholders on behalf of the President

● Ensure follow-through on all President-level commitments across internal and external audiences

PEOPLE & ORGANIZATIONAL HEALTH

● Support executive onboarding: build runbooks, coordinate introductions, and ensure new leaders are ramped quickly and effectively

● Partner with the People team on org design, headcount planning, and leadership development initiatives

● Serve as a sounding board and thought partner for the President on team performance, culture, and organizational decisions

SPECIAL PROJECTS

● Lead high-priority, time-sensitive projects that require senior judgment and cross-functional coordination

● Conduct research, build business cases, and develop recommendations on strategic questions at the President's direction

● Act as the President's proxy in any context where his direct involvement is not required but his perspective must be represented

What You Bring

Required:

● 7+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, senior operations, management consulting, or executive leadership role

● Proven track record of driving cross-functional execution in a fast-growing organization

● Exceptional written and verbal communication

● Strong strategic thinking paired with a bias for action

● High EQ, political intelligence, and the ability to influence without authority across all levels of an organization

● Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information in a fast-moving environment

● Extraordinary organizational instincts and follow-through

Preferred (Nice to Have):

● Background in legal, financial services, or multi-state operations

● Experience supporting a CEO, President, or Founder in a scaling environment

● Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) as force multipliers in your workflow

● MBA or equivalent experience in strategy, operations, or consulting
