Executive Director - Global Payments P&A - Sales, WCP & Unit Costing

As an Executive Director in Global Payments within Commercial & Investment Banking, you will lead key Planning & Analysis activities across Sales P&A, WCP/client profitability reporting, and unit economics. The role requires strong financial acumen, analytical judgment, leadership, and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Product, Operations, Technology, and business leadership.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead Sales P&A activities, including KPI development, performance analytics, budgeting, forecasting, outlook updates, scenario analysis, and management reporting.
- Partner with Payments Sales leadership and Finance stakeholders to translate business objectives into measurable targets, deliverables, and actionable insights.
- Drive analytics across regions, products, and client segments, identifying performance drivers and recommending actions to improve profitability, consistency, and execution.
- Lead WCP-enabled client profitability reporting and analytics, including roadmap prioritization, delivery standards, controls, and executive-level insights.
- Support ad hoc client deep dives and senior management queries, ensuring consistent methodology, messaging, and business interpretation.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and technology enhancements to improve reporting efficiency, transparency, controls, and scalability.
- Lead implementation of reporting enhancements, including requirements, testing, business sign-off, stakeholder alignment, and post-implementation validation.
- Oversee unit economics deliverables, including marginal cost, break-even analysis, and profitability by product, client, and segment.
- Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and Finance to refine cost attribution, allocation methodologies, and driver-based models.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, setting priorities, operating cadence, and delivery expectations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 12+ years professional experience in handling large amount of data
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
- Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis, and presentation of financials
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
- Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
- Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role and seeks to break the status quo and initiate improvements where necessary
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Previous experience in Business Management / client analytics / Strategy role in banking or financial services strongly preferred
- Analyzing P&L and balance sheet drivers preferred
- Experience with SQL & Tableau; data modeling and visualization tools
