Executive Office, Global Marketing

Marketing Analytics and Effectiveness, Associate, New York

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm’s distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm’s relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policymakers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm’s evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm’s social and sustainability agendas.

About Goldman Sachs Marketing

Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, driving a business-critical function focused on the firm’s future growth. As such, Global Marketing is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization consists of Corporate Reputation Marketing and business marketing teams, as well as center of excellence (COE) teams like paid media, research, and design. Together, these functions collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to drive commercial impact for the firm and the businesses we serve.

The Marketing Analytics and Effectiveness Associate will help protect and elevate the reputation of Goldman Sachs by combining marketing strategy, data and analytics, and emerging technology to improve how we measure, analyze, and make decisions. The team is responsible for building a culture of measurement that drives performance across the marketing organization. This role is central to establishing and reinforcing that culture, embedding data and insight into how we execute our strategy.

We’re looking for someone with a razor-sharp analytical mind and a systems-thinking orientation. This individual should be someone who naturally connects the dots across data, process, and business outcomes. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly driven, and obsessed with finding creative ways to make our marketing sharper, more precise, and more effective.

Just as importantly, this is a highly collaborative and client-oriented role. The right person can move comfortably between technical teams and key business stakeholders, build strong relationships, and translate complexity into clear insights and action.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Measurement and Insights: Analyze marketing campaign and audience performance, identify patterns and opportunities, and turn complex data into sharp strategic insights and clear recommendations.
  • Build and Test with Emerging Technology: Experiment with AI, automation, and other emerging capabilities, rapidly testing where they can create meaningful business value and translating successful experiments into scalable solutions.
  • Build AI-Enabled Measurement and Reporting: Design, build, and deliver automated, AI-enabled dashboards and reporting solutions that bring together disparate data sources, surface insights and trends, and reduce manual analysis. Continuously identify opportunities to make reporting more intelligent, digestible, and actionable.
  • Partner across Functions: Work closely with strategy, paid media, web, social, design, and external partners to develop and scale new capabilities, while building and maintaining trust among partners.
  • Execute with Precision: Take ownership, move quickly, and maintain an exceptionally high bar for quality and attention to detail — from initial thinking through final delivery.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, measurement, strategy, data/analytics consulting, marketing technology or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with an instinct for getting to the underlying question rather than simply reporting the data.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology, demonstrated through hands-on experimentation, curiosity and a desire to continuously learn.
  • Experience evaluating paid media measurement, web and digital analytics, SEO/AI search, social listening, brand lift studies or quantitative research and survey methodologies.
  • Experience using measurement platforms (e.g. DCM, SA360, Adobe, Google Analytics, Vivvix Media Radar, Sprinklr, BrightEdge, etc.).
  • Technical fluency or willingness to learn SQL, Python, BI/visualization platforms, APIs and/or AI/LLM tools; deep engineering expertise is not required.
  • Strong client service instincts and the ability to build credibility and productive relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complicated ideas and topics into clear insights and takeaways.
  • Strong ownership mentality, unmatched work ethic, and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
