About the Role
New York based 200-person trading firm seeks a Trading Operations Engineer to provide technical operations support for US and UK based desks. This individual is part of the firm’s Technology division but sits on the trading desk and is embedded in the technical operations processes of the firm. The task set is roughly split evenly between desk facing activities and light coding tasks often in collaboration with full time development staff.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• First point of contact for traders utilizing the firm’s trading systems
• Install, configure and monitor critical trading applications
• Incident management via ticketing system and documentation
• Collaborate with developers for all operational processes supporting trading applications
Required skills:
• Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities
• Experience with Python, bash and MySQL on Linux is required
• Excellent communication skills
Range reflects annual base salary. Total compensation packages are comprised of base salary and a discretionary bonus.
Salary Range:
$225,000—$250,000 USD
