The F&B Waiter / Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service experiences to guests across restaurant, bar, lounge, banquet and in-room dining operations. This role ensures guests receive attentive, personalised and efficient service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, presentation and operational excellence.
The Waiter / Waitress plays an important role in creating memorable dining experiences that reflect the service philosophy and luxury standards of NoMad Singapore.
GENERAL DUTIES
Welcome and engage guests warmly, ensuring a memorable and personalised dining experience.
Receive and process guest orders accurately and efficiently.
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally in accordance with service standards.
Maintain detailed knowledge of menus, ingredients, beverage offerings, promotions and specials.
Provide recommendations and answer guest enquiries confidently and professionally.
Ensure all tables and service areas are clean, organised and properly prepared at all times.
Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures.
Handle guest payments and settlements accurately in accordance with hotel procedures.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and seamless service delivery.
Support banquet, event and in-room dining operations when required.
Assist with beverage preparation or barista duties when operationally required.
Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
GUEST EXPERIENCE & SERVICE EXCELLENCE
Deliver attentive, intuitive and engaging service to all guests.
Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively to requests and preferences.
Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently.
Maintain a strong understanding of NoMad’s service standards and dining concepts.
Ensure all guest interactions reflect professionalism, warmth and genuine hospitality.
Promote hotel dining venues, promotions and experiences confidently to guests.
OPERATIONS & STANDARDS
Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
Maintain proper mise en place and service station readiness throughout the shift.
Follow operational procedures and service sequences consistently.
Ensure accuracy in electronic ordering systems and point-of-sale transactions.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all dining and back-of-house service areas.
Support inventory control and minimise wastage where possible.
TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION
Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with colleagues across departments.
Support team members during busy service periods and special events.
Participate actively in training sessions and continuous learning opportunities.
Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
Adhere to all hotel health, safety and security policies and procedures.
Ensure safe handling of food, beverages and equipment at all times.
Maintain excellent grooming and hygiene standards in accordance with company guidelines.
Report any accidents, incidents or unsafe conditions promptly to Management.
Previous food and beverage or hospitality experience preferred.
Friendly, energetic and service-oriented personality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and adaptable to operational requirements and shift work.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred.
Experience with POS or electronic ordering systems advantageous.
Basic knowledge of beverages, wines and cocktails preferred.
Cash handling experience advantageous.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
