Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of our facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for all occupants. This role will report to the Facilities Manager.

Schedule & Availability
  • Work Week: Primarily Monday through Friday with occasional weekends
  • Shift Flexibility: Must be able to accommodate a staggered start schedule. Shift start times vary based on facility needs and may begin at 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 10:00 AM.
  • After-Hours Support: Flexible availability is required for specific "before and after hours" projects to ensure facility readiness for clients and members. 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and kitchen equipment components.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Execute repairs, installations, and replacements of various fixtures and equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown for special events or office reconfigurations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services as needed.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Perform carpentry, painting, and general upkeep tasks.

What We Look For: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of maintenance issues.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and relevant tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching. 
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

Full Time Hourly Rate: $30

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
