As an Associate, FI Sales Trader you play a key role in working with the FI Sales and Trading team, This team provides Risk Management products and solutions to a wide range of external clients and internal stakeholders.

You and Your Job

As a FI Sales Trading Associate Director you will be successful by learning all aspects of the businesses that exists on the NY Markets FI Sales-Trading desk. You will learn and understand the pricing and risk management of different products.

This roll is an integral part of the Markets Financial Institutions Sales- Trading team which continues to be a reliable and dependable asset to the Markets division in North American and the wider wholesale banking group. This team provides Risk Management products and solutions to a wide range of external clients and internal stakeholders. These Risk Management Products include, but are not limited to, Interest rates, Foreign Exchange, Commodity, Money Market and Fixed Income.

The FI Sales Trading Associate Director will learn the intricacies of these products, the Markets they are traded in and internal systems that support them. The goal of the role is to be a key support to the desk and over time achieve strong results for the Markets organization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource to the Markets NA Trading team and the Financial Instructions Sales teams.

  • Use your skills to help develop system infrastructure.

  • Learn all desk systems, the FI client base, internal stakeholders and the Risk Management products traded on the desk.

  • Develop yourself with the intention of becoming a highly productive source of revenue generation

Your Promise to Us:

To be considered for the FI Sales Trading Associate Director role, you must have:

  • 2+ years supporting a FI Sales Trading or derivative sales desk in a financial institution. Banking experience is preferred.

  • BS or BA in Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering, Physics or relevant experience

  • High level of Excel knowledge. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

  • Practical knowledge of OTC derivatives, swaps, options and ideally other types of structures

  • Experience in executing transactions with clients over portals, phone, email, or registered chats in commodities is a plus

  • Able to assist FI Sales and Trading in the booking process

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

  • Provide highest level of service to other Rabobank Business Units and internal customers

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

  • Ability to travel regionally up to 35%

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.  Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
