Commercial Banking is looking for an experienced individual to join its Finance and Business Management organization as Vice President, Business Management, supporting the Investment Banking activity of Commercial Banking clients. This individual will be part of the Executive Business Management team, which supports the two co-heads of Commercial Banking and Commercial Banking-wide strategic initiatives.
As a Vice President within the Executive Business Management team, you will partner closely with Commercial Banking and Investment Banking leadership, as well as Front Office and Finance and Business Management organizations to design, forward and track initiatives, collectively aimed at growing and running the business in a data-driven way.
Job responsibilities
- Synthesize information and prepare presentation materials to be shared with senior management, coverage groups, product groups and other relevant stakeholders.
- Perform analysis that will support decision making and coordination across the firm.
- Perform extensive research on addressable market opportunities using proprietary and third-party data, including research on specific companies, products, regions and industries.
- Forward the development and execution of key monthly and quarterly reporting to be leveraged by senior managers within the Commercial Bank and across the firm.
- Address ad hoc requests and perform data analysis to support business groups and partners.
- Proactively identify areas for continued process improvement and enhance efficiencies by generating and executing on innovative ideas and solutions.
- Interact with Bankers to gather essential information to solidify partnership across lines of business.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in finance, business management and/or project management; knowledge of Commercial Banking and Investment Banking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience.
- Excellent problem solver and critical thinker who can synthesize information, ask insightful questions, spot trends, and communicate strategic recommendations.
- Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Ability to respond to rapidly changing business needs and urgent requests quickly and effectively.
- Willingness to learn driven by natural intellectual curiosity with a genuine interest in knowledge gathering, problem solving and business improvement.
- Willing to deep dive into unfamiliar topics and provide feedback and insights to help decision making .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and creating executive level PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience with internal JPMorgan Chase wholesale banking systems (e.g., Salesforce, Client Central, iBanker) and key third party data tools (e.g., Dealogic, FactSet).
- Desire to learn data visualization & automation tools (Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath, etc.).
