We're a small, remote-first team. We take ownership seriously, move fast, and ship work that more than a million developers rely on every day. We're looking for people who care deeply, build with urgency, and want to matter at scale.

The Finance team at Runpod owns the financial infrastructure that lets the company scale with confidence. This role is our dedicated Finance seat for capacity and infrastructure: GPU supply is our largest cost and the primary constraint on revenue, and you'll own the analytics behind how much capacity we have, how well it's utilized, how we pay for it, and when it comes online. Your primary stakeholders are the Infrastructure and Data Center Operations teams, alongside Sales on committed demand. As we scale from our Series A into the next phase of growth, we're building that decision-support layer from the ground up. You'll work directly with Runpod's Director of Finance in a fast-moving, remote-first environment where ownership and precision matter more than hierarchy.

We're looking for a Finance Manager, Infrastructure & Capacity to own the financial view of Runpod's GPU fleet. This is a hands-on, builder role for someone who wants to stand up processes from scratch rather than maintain an existing playbook. You'll maintain a live picture of available capacity, drive fill on upcoming tranches and utilization across the existing fleet, evaluate various GPU ownership models, forecast cash needs for our infrastructure and capacity, and model the revenue impact of bring-up timing. Reporting to Runpod's Director of Finance, you'll be central to how we decide what capacity to add, where, on what terms, and when.
Every dollar of Runpod's revenue runs through capacity we had to acquire, finance, and fill. Your analysis will determine which tranches we commit to, how we structure them, and how quickly they start earning. When a bring-up slips a month or a tranche lands underfilled, you'll be the person who quantifies the cost and drives the fix. You'll have the latitude to build these processes from the ground up, and your judgment on where to focus, automate, or dig deeper will directly influence how the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a live view of available capacity across GPU types and datacenters, and serve as the company's source of truth for what we have, what's sold, and what's coming.

  • Drive fill on upcoming tranches of capacity, partnering with Sales and Infrastructure to line up committed demand ahead of bring-up.

  • Monitor utilization across the existing fleet, flagging underperforming SKUs, datacenters, and node groups and driving the pricing or placement changes that fix them.

  • Evaluate alternate methods of GPU ownership — revenue share, leasing, and direct purchase — and recommend the right structure for each opportunity.

  • Forecast cash requirements for new capacity commitments and existing lease renewals, and own the capacity capex plan.

  • Model the revenue impact of bring-up timing, tracking schedule slippage against plan and quantifying the cost of delay.

  • Evaluate and monitor non-GPU infrastructure investments, including storage and CPU capacity.

  • Build the unit economics of the fleet — contribution margin by GPU type, datacenter, and host — and set the pricing floors and return hurdles that capacity decisions are measured against.

  • Support commercial negotiations with hosts and datacenter partners, modeling term sheets, revenue-share splits, and lease economics.

  • Run scenario and risk analysis on the supply book, including GPU price deflation, the contract expiration ladder, host and datacenter concentration, and residual value or redeployment of aging SKUs.

  • Own the capacity reporting layer — fill, utilization, and margin definitions and dashboards — and the post-commitment variance analysis that measures each tranche against its underwriting case.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, corporate development, or a related analytical role, with a strong foundation in financial modeling and forecasting.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets modeling, including capex, cash flow, and return analysis (NPV, IRR, payback).

  • Comfort working with large operational datasets and BI tools to turn raw usage data into decision-ready analysis.

  • Comfort driving ambiguous initiatives to completion with minimal supervision.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.

  • Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a high-growth startup or venture-backed technology company.

  • Experience underwriting capital-intensive investments — GPU fleets, data center capacity, hardware, or other asset-heavy commitments.

  • Experience with lease-versus-buy analysis, equipment financing, or revenue-share structures.

  • Experience in capacity, supply, or fleet planning, including utilization and fill modeling.

  • SQL or hands-on experience querying large operational datasets.

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, including lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed assets.

  • Experience in the AI infrastructure, cloud, or data center industry.

What You’ll Receive:

  • The competitive base pay for this position ranges from $140,000 - $180,000 USD. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Runpod and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.

  • Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company- everyone on the team receives stock options — your impact drives our growth, and you share in the upside.

  • Generous medical, dental & vision plans.

  • Flexible PTO- take the time you need to recharge.

  • Most roles are remote work first with an inclusive, collaborative teams utilizing slack as the main form of internal communication.

  • Join a passionate team on the cutting edge of AI infrastructure — where culture, learning, and ownership are at the heart of how we scale.

  • $1,200 Home Office & Equipment Stipend- We set you up for success from day one with gear and support to create your ideal workspace.
