Noom is looking for a Controller. You will have the opportunity to grow the Accounting team, maintain a regular financial close and implement various internal controls. In your role, you will partner with the VP of Finance and CFO and other business teams, to streamline and automate all financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technologically inclined, results driven and would thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. This is a great opportunity to take on a lead accounting role, as well as obtain great experience in operational and technical accounting in the consumer and enterprise health and wellness space.

WHAT YOU'll DO:

• Ownership of the monthly close and consolidation process for parent and all global subsidiaries.
• Develop proper controls and segregation of duties, with an eye towards developing an internal control environment (SOX).
• Ensure all statutory reporting and filing requirements for parent and global subsidiaries are met.
• Review of the annual tax returns, quarterly tax estimates and monthly tax filings (Sales and Use Tax, and other).
• Manage annual audit with external firm, and develop a quarterly review process
• Hire, grow and supervise Accounting team

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or relevant field
• At least 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, out of which at least 4 years of experience at an operating company
• CPA is a requirement
• Experience implementing and adopting ASC606
• ERP implementation experience
• Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures in accordance with US GAAP
• High level of autonomy
• Strong analytical and strategic skills; detail oriented and comfortable “rolling-up-sleeves”
• Ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements
• Nice to have: Experience with subscription-based payment models; experience in Technology space; experience working in accounting at a public company; IPO experience
