Be a part of the Commercial Banking (CB) Finance team for an exciting opportunity to provide financial analytics and reporting covering Commercial Real Estate (CRE) segments in CB, which is a sub line of business within Global Banking. Our team partners with business managers, strategy and other finance teams, and leads the business and financial analytics for CB segments/industries.

As a Vice President in the CB Finance team, you will be responsible for leading segment coverage through financial analytics, reporting, and presenting results to Segment Heads, Regional Managers, and/or their leadership team and partners. In this role, you will be expected to create, maintain and review financial budgeting and forecasting across regions and products as well as analyses on key drivers impacting the business to help drive the strategic vision forward.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the dialogue with Commercial Real Estate Segment Heads, Regional Managers, and senior stakeholders across the Commercial Bank to to deliver actionable insights on segment performance, client trends, and forward-looking outlook
  • Develop and present clear, decision-oriented financial analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) tailored to segment/industries; support strategic initiatives and ad-hoc requests as need
  • Prepare presentation materials and financial analytics for for financial reporting meetings, quarterly business reviews, and budget
  • Create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
  • Conduct deep dive analyses on key issues impacting clients/business to determine root cause and propose solutions
  • Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and the “so what, now what?” dialogue
  • Drive value-add change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 7+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, Planning & Analysis and/or Accounting
  • Experience in corporate financial analytics with an understanding of a Bank’s balance sheet, P&L and key drivers
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and relationship management skills, strong executive presence, and ability to tell a story with data
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately
  • Strong work ethic; work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and sense of urgency, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary
  • Experience with managing/leading a team
