About the Program
Commonscale is opening applications for our Founder in Residence Partner Program for early-stage founders building ambitious companies. If it’s a strong fit, we move quickly – most founders hear back within 24–48 hours.
Commonscale partners with founders at the earliest stages of company-building, helping shape brand, narrative, and investor positioning alongside core business strategy. We work closely with founders as long-term partners, not as a traditional creative vendor.
About Commonscale
Commonscale is a Venture Creative Studio that works with a small number of founders each year to help build companies that are differentiated, compelling, and built to last.
Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, brand, and storytelling. We focus on the moments that matter most early on – defining what a company stands for, how it shows up in the world, and how its story is told to customers, partners, and investors.
What We’re Looking For
We are highly selective. This program is best suited for founders who:
- Are actively building an early-stage company (pre-seed or seed)
- Are preparing for, or in the midst of, fundraising
- Care deeply about clarity, craft, and long-term value
- Want a true partner
We most often work with solo founders and small founding teams who are serious about building something enduring.
Why Commonscale
Founders partner with Commonscale because we:
- Work side-by-side, not at arm’s length
- Treat brand and narrative as foundational, not decorative
- Stay involved beyond a single milestone
- Partner with a limited number of companies each year
This program is intentionally small by design.
What You’ll Do
As a Commonscale Partner, you’ll work closely with our team to shape the foundation of your company — from how it’s positioned and understood, to how its story is told as it grows. Together, we focus on building clarity, momentum, and long-term impact.
How to Apply
Apply with a short overview of what you’re building and why you’re interested in partnering with Commonscale. Let us know about what you are building, current stage, and any early traction you have. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Location
Remote. We are based in New York City.
