Own the complete B2B SaaS sales cycle, from outbound prospecting and inbound qualification through discovery, demos, negotiation, and closing. Sell construction management software directly to residential construction business owners, build pipeline independently, forecast revenue, and consistently achieve quota. Partner with the founder to shape go-to-market strategy, messaging, sales processes, and playbooks while providing market insights to improve the product and positioning.

Buildern is the #1 Construction Management Platform, helping residential and commercial builders manage their projects, operations, and finances in one place. We're building the next generation of AI-powered construction management software, enabling construction companies to run smarter, more efficient, and more profitable businesses.

Construction is one of the world's largest industries, yet many builders still rely on spreadsheets, disconnected tools, and manual processes to manage their operations. At Buildern, we're changing that.

With a proven product, a growing customer base, and strong momentum, we're looking for an exceptional Founding  Account Executive to help accelerate our growth and build a scalable sales function.

This is not a traditional Account Executive role. We're looking for a results-driven, entrepreneurial sales professional who can independently generate opportunities, own the entire sales cycle, and contribute to shaping our go-to-market strategy. Working directly with the Founder & CEO, this person will play a key role in expanding Buildern's market presence and establishing the processes that will support our next stage of growth. This is a role for someone who wants to build a sales engine, not just inherit a pipeline.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle. Prospect, qualify, discover, demo, negotiate, and close.
  • Build your own pipeline. Find and engage decision-makers through cold calls, email, and creative outbound strategies.
  • Convert inbound demand. Take ownership of qualified inbound opportunities and turn them into customers.
  • Sell to business owners. Work directly with owners and leaders of established residential construction companies.
  • Run exceptional demos. Understand each prospect's business and show how Buildern can solve their challenges.
  • Build alongside the founder. Help shape our go-to-market strategy, messaging, sales playbook, and processes.
  • Own your numbers. Manage your pipeline, forecast accurately, and consistently deliver revenue.
  • Make us better. Bring insights from the market to improve our product, positioning, and sales approach.

You'll Thrive Here If You...

  • Have proven experience selling construction technology software. This is a must.
  • Are a top-performing B2B SaaS closer with a consistent track record of exceeding quota.
  • Have 5+ years of sales experience, including full-cycle ownership.
  • Know how to generate your own pipeline and don't depend on SDRs or marketing to fill your calendar.
  • Are confident selling directly to construction business owners and decision-makers.
  • Can turn a cold prospect into a paying customer.
  • Know how to run discovery, uncover real business problems, and sell value rather than features.
  • Thrive in early-stage environments where you have ownership, autonomy, and accountability.
  • Are resourceful, competitive, curious, and driven by results.
  • Want to help build something meaningful and share in its success.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have sold construction management, estimating, or project management software to residential builders.
  • Understand the workflows and challenges of custom home building companies.
  • Have experience as a founding or early sales hire.
  • Have helped develop outbound strategies or sales processes from scratch.

Why This Is a Career-Defining Opportunity

  • Build, don't just sell. You'll help define how Buildern acquires customers and scales its sales organization.
  • Work directly with the founder. No layers of management. Your ideas, feedback, and results will have a direct impact.
  • Sell a product that solves real problems. Builders use Buildern to manage critical parts of their businesses, from estimating and scheduling to project finances.
  • Get rewarded for performance. Competitive compensation, uncapped commission, and the opportunity for equity for the right person.
  • Grow with the company. As Buildern scales, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and potentially grow into a sales leadership role.

We're looking for someone who sees this as more than their next sales job. We want someone who wants to help build the company.
