The gap no one has filled

Every complex system in America has a profession whose job it is to be your trusted guide. You have a lawyer for legal. An accountant for taxes. A financial advisor for your money. Healthcare, a trillion-dollar industry that's arguably the most complex and touches every single family, leaves us on our own.

99% of care happens when someone steps outside the four walls of a doctor's office. Hera is creating a new profession in healthcare to fill that gap: the Hero, a dedicated senior care expert for your family. Our Heroes educate, coordinate, and advocate for the most vulnerable population in the healthcare system. We’re covered by insurance, so we can serve every family in America.

Building the most trusted interface of healthcare

We are in the business of trust.

We're designing for the most emotionally charged moments of our customers' lives; the bar isn't just delight, it's trust. Hera's brand promise is simple: care that would only be great enough for our own parents. This promise is our moat.

It's what physicians refer to, families buy, what Heroes deliver, and what the product must unlock and enforce at every touchpoint.

How we grow today

Today Hera primarily grows through the most trusted referral in healthcare: a physician or social worker. We're embedded at NYU Langone, Weill Cornell, and Mount Sinai. Departments reach out unprompted. We show up in health system newsletters we didn't pitch.

That's a powerful foundation, and a ceiling. The families who need Hera most aren't only the ones a doctor sends us. Growth marketing is how we reach the rest of them: adult children in the middle of a caregiving crisis, searching at midnight. Families who don't know they can get help like this, covered by Medicare.

This role is how Hera gets to them.

Early brand wins
  • Viral community moments: we organized an art show for an 88-year-old man, Ben Feldshuh, and the TikTok went viral. NY1 & NBC covered it; on the night of the show, every single one of Ben's 40+ paintings sold and over 300 people came. We’ve now turned this into an ongoing series, Hera Bridges.

  • Released our “Age Your Way” launch video, featuring 5 fabulous New Yorkers - Elizabeth, Andrea, Gladys, Stanley, and Michael aging with joie de vivre. The video was highlighted by Director’s Library.

  • $0 spent on customer acquisition with 95% customer retention

What this role is

Great growth marketing is rare because it requires two things that don't often live in the same person: excellent creative instinct and analytical rigor. In this hire, we're looking for both.

You'll own the full B2C growth engine: strategy, budget, creative, measurement – working alongside existing storytelling and brand efforts to make sure everything we put into the world is true to who we are.

What you'll do: build the growth engine
  • Create content that earns attention: emotive, informative, and highly shareable.

  • Own SEO and paid acquisition across social and search, from creative to bid strategy to post-mortem.

  • Run rigorous experiments and treat every campaign as a hypothesis.

  • Design attribution frameworks that give us a true picture of what's working.

  • Build the systems that let one person do what used to take a team: automated workflows, AI-assisted production, feedback loops that compound.

  • Manage budget with precision and the confidence to scale what's working fast.

Who you are
  • You have exceptional taste and a curatorial eye, and also run towards the data.

  • You’re a generalist by disposition, and can flex from high-level strategy to the nitty-gritty.

  • You’re great at editing – knowing exactly what to strip away to make something land.

  • You're a first-principles thinker. You don't reach for a best-practices playbook. You find where the real leverage is and build from there.

  • You use AI to go faster and get further, without losing the thing that makes the work good.

  • You care about the mission. We're not selling b2b software, we're helping families in crisis get help. You feel the weight of that.

What you've done
  • 3-6 years in growth, creative, or performance marketing, in-house, agency, or startup.

  • You've run paid campaigns and have the results to show for it.

  • Work you're proud of across a portfolio of channels (bonus points if you've run a viral campaign).

  • A track record of figuring things out without a large team behind you.

  • Fluency with AI tools for creative production, copy, research, and workflow.

Our founding team

We closed a 7M seed round led by Accel and 10’xed revenue over the last 6 months organically through close partnerships with Weill Cornell, NYU Langone, and Mount Sinai. We’ve been doing fun things in the community along the way (threw an art show for an 88 year old artist that went viral) and the customer feedback is the most positive our team has seen in our careers. You’ll build Hera alongside co-founders Jenny, Myles & Connie and a team from Headway and Palantir. We are in person in NYC. Read our story and watch our launch video here.

In a world of growing cynicism we chase hard truths, give a damn, and build.

  • Our entire team believes truth is in the field. This means we are side by side with our Heroes everyday, learning what it takes to do the job and do it well.

  • We are high autonomy and trust. There is no space for micromanagement, if you see a problem or think of a solution, you are empowered to run at it wholeheartedly and know that the team has your back.

  • We are creative in our bones. For the first time in many years, we are seeing the genesis of a new profession of a profound scale and importance; it’s on us to define what it can and should look like.
