About The Role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to be the first dedicated full stack hire on the healthcare team. You’ll play a foundational role in shaping both the product and the technical architecture. This isn’t about executing a roadmap that’s already been defined—it’s about creating it. You’ll work across the stack and across functions to identify what we need to build, why it matters, and how to make it happen. You should be excited to own projects end-to-end, make foundational backend decisions, and drive features from zero to launch with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and operations to design and build user-facing features and internal tools that move the needle

• Own the development and launch of new products, working directly with clients to gather feedback and iterate quickly

• Build intuitive, high-quality front-end experiences for complex workflows with a strong focus on usability

• Make key backend design decisions, including API design, data modeling, and service architecture

• Develop modular, reusable components and systems to support scalability, maintainability, and engineering velocity

• Contribute to building the team’s technical culture through best practices, code quality, and thoughtful architecture

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production software, including both frontend and backend work

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React

• Affinity for good UX and passion for good UX experiences

• Experience building, maintaining, and monitoring APIs

• Embodies a startup mentality, demonstrates ownership, and effectively balances high-quality output with a keen sense of urgency

• Great at solving problems with little guidance and has a strong bias for action

• Willingness to work in person at our office 5 days a week

Nice to have

• 2+ years of Python experience

• AWS experience

• Experience working with Relational databases

Job Compensation Range

The salary range for this role is $230,000 - $270,000. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided by our Recruiting Team during the hiring process.
