About the company
Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join a very small engineering group as an early hire who begins by handling technical support and then grows into building product. The work blends troubleshooting for users, creating tools that lower manual workload, and delivering new functionality. It suits a self-directed engineer who is comfortable working alongside the founders without a structured daily task list.
What you'll do
- Serve as the technical point of contact for users across the full product line, mostly through email with some phone calls.
- Investigate and resolve problems reported by academic staff, learners and administrators, taking on more complex cases as you gain familiarity.
- Create automation scripts and internal tools early in your tenure so the team spends less time on repetitive support work.
- Shift toward end-to-end feature development as the support burden shrinks, releasing code that people use daily.
- Cover product management duties when the team needs it.
- Contribute to technical design decisions, team practices and the use of AI-assisted tooling in everyday development.
