Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Creates or helps create glossaries and style guides following pre-defined guidelines from the client.
  • Creates or helps create characterization documents Carries out translation work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology.
  • Carries out revision work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology. All work is carried out meeting the outlined deadlines and industry standard productivity figures.
  • Provides linguistic feedback for work carried out externally.
  • Works as part of a larger team of translators or revisers.

Requirements
  • Must have at least one year experience in translation industry - English to Thai (video games specific experience is an advantage)
  • Experience in any of the following areas is essential:  creative text, fiction book or magazine translations, translating TV/media series/subtitling, and localization quality control. 
  • Ideally with experience working with MemoQ, and TMS software (Plunet/XTRF).
  • Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrates proactivity.
  • Good organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Keeps a “can do” attitude and positive thinking
