Receptionist position details:
We are hiring for a Full Time (37.5 hours/week) position. The scheduled hours will be Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm. No weekends or holidays are required!
Receptionist job duties include:
- Answer telephone; determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
- Receive requests from within the facility and locate personnel through paging system.
- Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Greet residents, staff, visitors and guests warmly. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident apartment.
- Monitor presence and location of visitors in the community and ensure that they abide to the Canterbury Woods rules of conduct. Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.
- Assist with administrative duties as directed. (Includes typing, filing, mail distribution, etc.)

Receptionist qualifications:
- 1 year experience in a clerical position, or successful completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college, is preferred.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/staff, and the general public.
