Key Responsibilities:
Cold Food Preparation:
- Prepare cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, pâtés, terrines, and cold sauces, according to the menu and recipes.
- Ensure food is presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
- Plate dishes with precision and attention to detail.
Food Safety:
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure freshness and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cold storage and prep stations.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor the supply of ingredients for cold dishes and inform the kitchen manager of any shortages.
- Properly label and store cold food items to maintain freshness.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of cold dishes.
- Assist with kitchen prep work and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Garde Manger or in a similar role is required.
