Originate and structure subscription financing for private equity and other private markets funds. Underwrite credit, diligence sponsors and fund docs, negotiate term sheets, prepare credit approval materials, monitor covenant and collateral performance, and partner with Credit Risk, Legal, and Operations.
Role Overview: Associate, Capital Call Financing
The Global Fund Finance business within the Capital Solutions Group in Global Banking and Markets deploys the firm’s balance sheet across a full suite of structured financing solutions across the private markets ecosystems. We are looking for an experienced Associate to join our Private Equity Capital Call (PECC) Structuring team in New York, whose core responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Origination & Client Coverage
- Interface with and strengthen relationships with sponsors, fund managers, and internal coverage teams
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering tailored subscription finance solutions aligned with fund strategy and investor composition
Credit Structuring & Underwriting
- Evaluate the credit, structural, and economic risks of subscription lines using rigorous analytical and technical judgment
- Diligence fund sponsors, investment strategies, LP bases, PPMs, and LPAs across asset classes including buyout, growth, real estate, infrastructure, and credit funds
- Lead structuring discussions and negotiate indicative term sheets and credit agreement provisions with fund borrowers and legal counsel
Risk Management & Governance
- Prepare high-quality credit approval materials and ensure accurate documentation of loan structure, risk ratings, and policy exceptions
- Monitor covenant compliance, collateral performance, and borrowing base dynamics throughout the life of each facility
- Partner closely with Credit Risk, Legal, and Operations to ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years in underwriting or structuring fund finance products, or related credit roles
- Technical Skills: Advanced financial modeling and analysis; deep understanding of fund structures and LP-backed underwriting frameworks
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
Required Licensing
- SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 79 (or must be obtained within four months of joining)
