The Global VP Operations and Systems, CL will serve as the strategic and operational link between DP World's regional Contract Logistics (CL) teams and the central Technology group. The role is critical to shaping, aligning, and executing a unified CL strategy mainly focused in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transport Management System (TMS) and the digital roadmap with the clear objective to enable the best possible solutions that drive operational excellence and support DP World's growth ambitions.
This role ensures that regional business requirements are accurately captured and embedded in global technology solutions, while also promoting the consistent adoption of global standards—accelerating digital transformation and value creation across the CL organization.
Key Responsibilities
Define and continuously evolve the global Contract Logistics technology strategy, aligned with business growth ambitions and the broader digital transformation agenda. Translate regional and customer-specific logistics needs into scalable and future-proof technology solutions.
Develop a multi-year roadmap for digital solutions and platforms, including WMS, TMS, automation tools, visibility systems, analytics platforms, and customer interfaces.
Act as the voice of the regions in technology forums, and the ambassador of the Technology group in business discussions.
Define and oversee global KPIs, OKRs, and success metrics to measure platform performance, adoption, and business value delivery.
Serve as the voice of the regions within global technology forums, and the ambassador of the Technology organization within CL business discussions facilitating cross-regional alignment and best practice sharing to accelerate value realization.
Build the right super users community with the regions to ensure the right level of knowledge, Coordinate input into WMS enhancement and roadmap prioritization.
Support change management and training efforts to facilitate smooth transitions during system upgrades and new deployments.
Act as the global owner of WMS and TMS strategy, ensuring consistent deployment standards, scalability, and alignment with business processes.
Oversee prioritization of system enhancements and guide product development and vendor interactions.
Drive harmonization and reduce customizations through standardized solution adoption.
Support compliance with enterprise architecture, data governance, and IT security standards across all platforms.
Monitor emerging CL technology trends and propose innovations that could create competitive advantage in coordination with the global Automation and Innovation group.
Facilitate best practice sharing across regions and identify opportunities for system optimization and standardization.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Minimum 10 years in Contract Logistics, with at least 5 years of experience in IT or digital transformation roles.
Proven success managing WMS systems at scale (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Infor, etc.).
Global/regional experience in a multinational logistics or supply chain organization preferred.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Deep understanding of CL operations and how digital tools can drive productivity, visibility, and service quality.
Business-oriented mindset with the ability to challenge and co-create with both tech and operational leaders.
Project leadership experience, ideally in large-scale WMS implementations.
