Job Description:

Group Creative Director, Creative Development

We are seeking an experienced New York based Group Creative Director (Art Director or Copywriter background) to join one of our newest creative AOR wins - one of the largest healthcare, pharmacy, and consumer wellness brands in the US. Reporting to the ECD, you will lead a team executing a variety of deliverables including integrated brand campaigns, retail and shopper marketing, CRM and lifecycle communications, healthcare enrollment and member communications, patient education, social and content creation, retail media and commerce assets, in-store experiences, personalization programs, and AI-enabled creative production. This highly conceptual thinker is responsible for generating, co-managing and co-directing the look, tone and feel of all on-strategy creative ideas across multiple mediums.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience at agencies with a proven track record of leading Fortune 500 client relationships and projects, creating innovative and consumer-first experiences, and driving creative excellence. This role is hands on, requires exceptional people management skills and creative direction across copywriting, art direction, motion design and performance creative. You will lead teams and inspire them to excel beyond the brief an innovate at the speed of consumer behavior and technology evolution. Must have thought leadership to help our clients navigate the digital messaging landscape through platform knowledge, best practices, and the power of storytelling.

Responsibilities

·       Work with the team to produce best-in-class experiences across channels – TV/online video, social, email, SMS, MMS, Push - integrated with experiential promotions, gamification and loyalty programs

·       Lead the creation of email custom design systems as well as utilize and scale existing client design systems

·       Support creative work partnered with Strategy and Analytics teams using all available insights including customer feedback, quantitative data and usability findings

·       Work with the cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure user adoption and client satisfaction

·       Be a trusted creative voice for your accounts and develop good relationships with your clients

·       Demonstrate to clients that you understand their challenges and respond to their creative and strategic requirements

·       You'll mentor direct reports and create a supportive culture of collaboration

·       You'll oversee creative choices, relate to messaging strategies, elevate the quality of the work, and meet client objectives while achieving our financial objectives

·       You'll be a go-to client-facing creative voice, nurture client relationships, present and sell creative concepts, and be day-to-day leadership between client and creative teams

·       You'll partner with leadership and will oversee clients while balancing the needs of the team.

·       You'll define feedback on the creative process, quality of briefs, and creative output.

·       You'll stay on top of the latest technologies and trends.

·       You'll identify opportunities to increase the scope of creative work while understanding our client's needs and implementing knowledge of the industry, innovation, and competitors.

·       You'll contribute to new business pitches.

 

Qualifications

·       15+ years of experience or equivalent experience

·       5+ years' experience in a creative leadership capacity

·       Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, digital design, copywriting or related field

  • Experience mentoring talent, navigating inter-agency and client relationships
  • Experience organizing others while believing in total accountability
  • Experience leading projects and your team in high-pressure situations
  • A portfolio with work exemplifying compelling ideas
  • Digital, interactive and customer experience agency or consultancy experience desired
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate client meetings and lead presentations
  • Strong team leadership and mentoring skills; able to inspire collaboration
  • Knowledge of creative collaboration software such as Figma
  • You must be located in New York for required weekly onsite work in our Dentsu office

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $197,225- $260,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
