Kickoff is an AI-enabled wellness super app and coaching service. Our mission is to give everyone in the world access to life-changing healthy habit formation, so they can live healthier, happier lives. We consolidate all things wellness in one place - from exercise to nutrition to sleep and mindfulness - and deliver personalized recommendations daily via a dedicated human coach. Clients get the best possible programming and stick with it due to the accountability of their coach. We're helping the world shift to a more preventive approach to health.


The Head of Growth will be responsible for growing our client base. He or she will define our growth strategy and marketing mix, unlock product-led channels, and optimize conversion through all of the channels. It's a unique mix of marketing, product, and analytics.

At the same time, the Head of Growth will play a key role in the client journey: Motivating prospective clients to commit to making a major change in their lives and invest in the Kickoff membership. This individual will also help to build out free tooling to support and engage prospective clients early on in their journey.

He or she will work with a team of engineers, designers, and contract marketers to find, delight, convert and start prospective clients. They will further help to chart our direction as a company as a senior member of the leadership team.

This role comes with a lot of responsibility and is not for everyone - it is for someone who wants to scale a world-changing product.


Understand the client experience, journey, and needs deeply to optimize our growth strategy: How we engage prospective clients as well as our channel mix, segmentation, targeting and positioning

-Ongoing quant and qual research

-Get as close to the users as possible

Optimize conversion by providing the best possible onboarding experience for new clients

-Optimize our conversion funnel

-Build tools and features to provide value to prospective clients and build their trust

Figure out how to educate consumers who really need to make big behavioral changes on the benefits of human coaching

-Identify analogous campaigns in other industries

-Test and learn

Manage marketing agencies and contractors

-Drive awareness of Kickoff and more leads

Support product-led growth channels. Current projects on the roadmap include:

-Building a freemium app

-Driving coach-driven growth

-Scaling client to client referral system

-Optimizing client restart systems


1. 5+ years experience in fast moving organizations including 3+ years in a Growth Marketing or Growth Product role

2. A track record of driving fast growth for consumer brands

3. Proven ability to drive growth through conversion funnel optimization and growth product features

4. Expertise in using both quantitative data (e.g., metrics, analytics) and qualitative data (e.g., user feedback) to inform product prioritization. You can analyze data yourself by writing SQL queries and using data analysis tools.

5. A startup mindset - you're an owner who’s willing to take risks, test and learn, work hard, and move quickly

6. Passion for our mission and intrinsic motivation to bring it about

7. Excitement about collaborating in person at our Union Sq, NYC office with our awesome team

8. Strong UX and design sense - you don’t have to be a designer but you do have to be able to think like one

9. Nice to have: Expertise in influencer, organic social media, SEO, content, PR, and/or database marketing
