Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Agency Sales Leader to join our team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing a major agency relationship and growing revenue across Nielsen’s enterprise products and services at that agency.

  • Sales and account management experience

  • Proven track record of sales and revenue performance

  • A strong understanding of the media and advertising landscape, including technology and data trends, as well as agency priorities and operations. 

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and existing relationships, with a knack for connecting with the right leaders for the right growth priorities.

  • A proactive and curious approach to understanding client needs and how to align them with our solutions.

  • The resilience and adaptability required to navigate complex business environments and achieve results. 

  • A solid grasp of how media agencies plan campaigns and measure their effectiveness.

What You’ll Do:

  • Sales and Business Development

    • Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategies to acquire, retain, and grow relationships with your assigned agency. 

    • Develop and manage a sales pipeline across your team, identifying new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing client relationships.

    • Understand client needs and leverage Nielsen’s audience measurement and advertising solutions (TV, digital, cross-platform) to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

    • Achieve sales and strategic objectives, including revenue targets and KPIs, by promoting Nielsen's data services to clients.

  • Client Engagement & Strategy

    • Engage with decision-makers across agencies and brands, including agency leadership, product leaders, media planners, and data-driven marketing teams, to understand their business objectives.

    • Deliver solutions through the use of Nielsen’s audience measurement tools to solve strategic marketing and advertising challenges.

    • Collaborate with internal teams, including Client Success, Analytics, Product, Sales Operations, and Data Governance, to manage the sales cycle and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Sales Leadership

    • Implement commercial processes that will enable a team of sellers to hit revenue targets and exceed their plans

    • Motivate team members and promote collaboration

    • Implement a clear client engagement model and strategy

    • Pipeline management and forecasting across a team of sellers

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7-10 years of professional experience in a sales or business development leadership role.

  • Proven revenue generating experience and performance in advertising and marketing solutions. 

  • Knowledge of media agency operations and goals and priorities

  • Meaningful sales management experience of teams 5+ in size

  • An existing network of relationships at key media agencies
