Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients.

The opportunity
  • Own growth for margin trading on Kraken Pro, Kraken's highest single revenue-generating product feature, with CEO-level ownership of the business area

  • Build and execute the strategy to acquire high-net-worth individual (HNWI) traders, including winning them from competing platforms

  • Partner closely with the VIP team to shape how high-value traders are sourced, onboarded, and activated

  • Mobilize performance marketing, organic, creative design, and other internal teams to drive margin growth, as a senior individual contributor without direct reports

  • Define positioning, messaging, and offers for margin trading that resonate with sophisticated, high-volume traders

  • Set growth targets and own the funnel from lead to funded account to active margin trader

  • Run fast experiments across channels, programs, and incentives, and scale what works

  • Bring trader insights back to Product to shape the margin roadmap

What you bring
  • 4+ years in growth, product marketing, or VIP/high-value customer acquisition

  • Proven track record of acquiring high-net-worth traders or players in crypto, trading, or gaming and gambling

  • Experience winning customers away from competitors and converting them into long-term, high-value users

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority and drive measurable outcomes

  • Strong grasp of leveraged and margin trading, and of how high-volume traders make decisions

  • Data-driven approach: owns funnel metrics, revenue impact, and ROI on acquisition spend

  • High agency and scrappiness: takes full ownership, moves fast, and delivers without waiting for ideal conditions

  • Clear communicator who builds alignment across marketing, VIP, product, and leadership

Nice to haves
  • Existing network among HNW traders, market makers, or VIP communities

  • Experience building VIP or whale acquisition programs from scratch

  • Background in regulated financial products or iGaming with strict compliance requirements
