Department Overview

The Marketing Department is responsible for delivering programs that support revenue growth, enhance the Firm's brand and strengthen market visibility. The department leads strategic marketing initiatives across key stakeholder groups and leverages a wide range of engagement tactics to deepen relationships and build recognition of Golub Capital as a premier firm in its markets. Key stakeholders include private equity sponsors, investors, financing partners and employees.

Centralized departmental functions include content strategy, channel marketing, event management, digital marketing and creative services. The Marketing Department collaborates closely with Firm leadership, the Investor Partners Group, the Sponsor Finance Team and Corporate Affairs to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business priorities.

Position Responsibilities

The Head of Integrated Marketing will advance the Firm’s enterprise-wide marketing agenda by translating the narrative, investment expertise and strategic priorities into integrated campaigns, content and brand experiences. This role will lead firmwide marketing initiatives designed to strengthen brand awareness, enhance market perception and support business objectives across key audiences including investors, private equity sponsors, financing partners and employees.

This individual will lead teams responsible for content strategy and development, social media and creative services and will partner closely with Channel Marketing and Corporate Affairs Teams. Together, they will drive a cohesive approach to Firm marketing, ensuring messaging, content and campaigns are aligned across channels, audiences and business priorities. This individual will serve as a steward of the Golub Capital brand, ensuring consistent positioning, messaging and visual identity across all marketing activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Translating the Firm’s narrative, investment capabilities and strategic priorities into clear, compelling marketing assets across web, campaigns, digital channels, presentations, video, advertising and other touchpoints
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders, investment professionals and subject matter experts to identify timely themes, market insights and educational opportunities, ensuring firmwide marketing reflects a consistent voice, differentiated positioning and client-centric perspective
  • Developing and overseeing a scalable content strategy that supports thought leadership, investor education, brand awareness and client engagement
  • Overseeing the development, packaging and promotion of content including articles, white papers, web content, podcasts, video scripts, educational materials and campaign assets
  • Managing advertising and digital content across owned, earned and paid channels, partnering with internal teams and external agencies to deliver insight-driven, measurable programs aligned with Firm messaging and optimized for impact
  • Establishing performance metrics and reporting frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, content and brand-building initiatives
  • Managing the Creative Services Team responsible for the design and production of marketing, campaign, digital, event and multimedia assets across the Firm
  • Providing creative direction and concept development for integrated marketing campaigns, thought leadership initiatives and Firm communications
  • Partnering with Corporate Affairs, Global Product Group and business stakeholders to translate complex topics into clear, compelling and visually engaging narratives
  • Ensuring all creative assets and multimedia content reinforce the Firm's brand, support strategic objectives and meet high standards for quality, consistency and execution
  • Building a high-performing team culture that balances strategic thinking, executional excellence and strong internal collaboration
  • Managing external agencies, vendors and consultants as needed to deliver high-quality work efficiently and effectively

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing, content strategy, brand marketing or communications, preferably within asset management, financial services or private markets
  • 10+ years of experience leading and developing marketing teams
  • Experience leading thought leadership strategies, integrated campaigns and digital content programs across multiple audiences and channels with the ability to translate complex investment and market topics into clear, compelling marketing strategies and content
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, messaging architecture and content governance
  • Working knowledge of advertising strategy, paid media, digital promotion and campaign analytics
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams, developing talent and fostering accountability
  • Experience partnering with senior executives, investment professionals, sales teams, communications teams and Legal & Compliance stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build scalable processes, frameworks and operating models within a complex organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong editorial judgment and storytelling capabilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of AI generated outputs

Compensation and Benefits

For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $275,000 to $350,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
