Head of MarComm Technology (L9)
Role Summary
The Head of MarComm Technology leads the strategy, delivery, and ongoing operation of technology capabilities that support Marketing and Communications. This role is accountable for a portfolio of platforms and teams spanning marketing automation, content and channel technology, data and analytics enablement, and emerging AI-driven capabilities.
This leader partners closely with Marketing, Communications, Digital, Data, Architecture, and Engineering teams to translate business priorities into a clear technology roadmap, drive execution across a complex delivery landscape, and improve the effectiveness, reliability, and scalability of MarComm platforms. The role balances run, change, and modernization while simplifying the ecosystem and enabling better customer and colleague experiences.
You Will
Lead the MarComm technology portfolio, including platform strategy, delivery execution, and operational performance across marketing and communications capabilities
Partner with Marketing and Communications leaders to define and deliver a prioritized, outcome-driven technology roadmap
Oversee intake, prioritization, and backlog management to balance strategic initiatives, operational needs, and capacity constraints
Drive execution across multiple platforms and teams, ensuring delivery is sequenced, transparent, and aligned to business priorities
Simplify and modernize the technology landscape by reducing fragmentation, improving integration patterns, and strengthening platform usability
Lead and develop teams across delivery platforms, content and channel technologies, and data/analytics enablement
Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for architecture, security, privacy, compliance, and resiliency
Manage platform investments, vendor relationships, and spend to optimize value and support long-term sustainability
Partner with Architecture, Data, and Engineering teams to enable scalable data foundations, personalization capabilities, and workflow automation
Advance adoption of AI-enabled capabilities within MarComm workflows in alignment with enterprise governance and standards
Build strong stakeholder alignment across business and technology leaders; proactively manage dependencies and resolve trade-offs
Develop a high-performing team with clear accountability, strong engagement, and continuous development
What You’ll Bring
A strong track record of leading business-facing technology organizations and delivering measurable outcomes
Deep understanding of marketing and digital technology ecosystems, including platforms, workflows, and customer engagement capabilities
Ability to translate business priorities into clear technology strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans
Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams and systems
Strong execution discipline, with the ability to prioritize, sequence work, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
Financial and operational acumen, including managing platform investments, vendors, and trade-offs
Experience simplifying technology landscapes and improving integration, scalability, and usability
Ability to apply data, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities to drive practical business value
Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders
A collaborative leadership style that builds trust, develops talent, and drives accountability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
10+ years of experience in technology, engineering, or digital delivery roles
5+ years of experience leading teams and/or managing managers
Experience working in a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
Experience supporting marketing, digital, or customer experience technology environments preferred
Experience managing technology platforms, products, or portfolios
Familiarity with modern technology environments (e.g., cloud, APIs, integrations)
Experience working with third-party vendors and managing external partnerships
Salary Range:
$178,690.00 - $293,560.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
