About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world’s largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized “house,” Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast — both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the role

This is a senior executive role reporting directly to the Founder & CEO. You’ll own the full market lifecycle: what gets listed and why, how markets are structured, how liquidity develops, how markets resolve, and how all of it compounds into a platform that every day traders and sophisticated institutions trust with their capital.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in financial markets and is ready to build out the operational cadence and structure for the markets function, powering one of the most exciting, emerging asset classes of our time.

What you’ll do
  • Lead a team across market selection, liquidity, operations, and resolution

  • Drive market listing strategy — sharp instinct for what generates trading interest, not just supply

  • Build frameworks for evaluating market viability: event significance, tradability, audience reach

  • Own market structure — tick sizes, fees, rebates, incentive design — ensuring tight spreads and durable liquidity

  • Build and manage relationships with market makers, trading firms, and LPs; primary contact for key counterparties

  • Design liquidity programs and commercial partnerships that attract and retain committed capital

  • Work with media, sports, politics and other partner organizations to shape resolution strategy and determine viability of outcome

  • Define scalable systems for market creation, maintenance, and resolution across a growing catalog

  • Own resolution credibility and market integrity

What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in financial markets – potentially led a markets function at an exchange or held a senior seat on a sell-side desk with direct responsibility for liquidity strategy, market maker relationships, and market structure

  • Deep understanding of market microstructure — how spreads, incentives, fee design, and product structure interact to produce market quality

  • Strong conviction that liquidity is an output of structure and demand, not just relationships; has built or shaped the conditions that attract durable capital

  • Experience with market governance, resolution, or integrity functions — comfortable owning high-stakes decisions where credibility is on the line

  • Established network across market makers, trading firms, and liquidity providers

  • Track record through real market stress — drawdowns, flash crashes, dislocations — with the judgment and reputation that comes from navigating them

  • Effective operator across Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering in a fast-moving environment

Bonus Points

  • Experience with prediction markets, binary options, or derivatives markets

  • Existing relationships with market makers, trading firms, or liquidity providers

  • Experience at an exchange operating in a novel or emerging asset class

  • Experience at a high-growth fintech, trading firm, or early-stage startup environment

Benefits
  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Health, Vision, & Dental coverage

  • 401k match

  • Hardware setup — new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
