The Head of Solutions Consulting leads the LSA function, integrating Orbital Copilot into legal workflows, managing team performance, and scaling operations while collaborating with legal experts.

🚀 We’re on a mission to make real estate transactions smarter, faster, and friction-free.

🏢 Real estate is the world’s largest asset class, yet the legal processes and tools behind it remain slow, manual, and underinvested. Lawyers must review dense documents line by line and piece together information across silos, all while clients demand faster, more transparent due diligence.

🤖 That's where we come in. Orbital Copilot is the AI assistant built exclusively for commercial real estate law. Developed with former practicing real estate lawyers, it accelerates complex due diligence by up to 70% while delivering legal-grade precision.

💰 We’ve just raised a $60m Series B to accelerate our UK/US expansion.

🤝 We're trusted by leading firms like Goodwin and BCLP to remove the busywork so legal teams can focus on what they do best: applying sharp legal judgment, delivering standout client service, and getting deals over the line faster.

💡 Working at Orbital means joining a team that's reimagining how real estate transactions get done - moving fast, working collaboratively, and giving people the ownership to make a real impact from day one.

The role

Our Legal Solutions Architects sit at the heart of how we deliver. They're ex-real estate lawyers, accomplished and deeply credentialed, partnering with customers to integrate Orbital into how transactions actually get done. Pre-sale, they shape pilots and prove the value. Post-sale, they embed the product into workflows in ways that are genuinely transformative.

The team is growing fast: from a NY-based group today to a distributed US function with a manager sitting underneath this role. There's a build-from-scratch operational layer that has yet to exist. That's the job.

You'll take over day-to-day leadership of the LSA function: 1:1s, performance, career development, capacity planning, AE enablement, and the rhythms that hold a scaling function together. You'll partner closely with Lauren Hirt, our Head Legal Solutions Architect, who owns the deep legal substance and the strategic enterprise work. You own the operational layer that lets her, and the rest of the team, do their best work.

You
  • You've taken a small specialist function and scaled it: solutions consulting, sales engineering, pre-sales, professional services, or somewhere adjacent. Ideally you've worked with complex products (data, dev tools, cybersecurity, legal tech) where the team has to think before they sell, not just sell harder.

  • You build infrastructure where there isn't any. Career paths, playbooks, onboarding flows, the kind of rhythms that mean a function genuinely scales rather than just gets bigger. You take pride in making the people around you more effective.

  • You have high EQ. You know how to manage accomplished, opinionated people, the kind who joined you after senior careers elsewhere, who have strong views, and who haven't always been managed well. You can hold your own with sharp people without needing to be the sharpest in the room.

  • You're not a lawyer, and you don't need to be. You're smart enough to learn the domain fast, and credible enough to hold technical conversations with senior people inside Orbital and out. The substance sits with Lauren and the team; your job is to make sure they have what they need to bring it to bear.

  • You think deliberately about how AI changes the practice of management. Not as a buzzword. As a real lever you use every day.

What this isn't

This isn't a deal-execution or customer-facing legal role. The Head LSA owns the senior legal voice with customers. You own the function that makes everything else possible.

It isn't a step-up role for a first-time manager. The scope, team size, and pace need someone who has done versions of this before.

And it isn't a polished, established function with mature systems. You'll write the playbooks, not refine them.

Practicalities
  • Location: New York, 2 days a week in the office

  • Reports to: Interim CRO

  • Partners closely with: Head Legal Solutions Architect, US Sales Director, VP Customer Success

  • Compensation: $215,000 - $260,000 Competitive plus equity.

  • Benefits: 20 days PTO, 401(k) match, comprehensive health, $1,200 annual development budget, commuter benefits, weekly team meals

🔒 Security is everyone’s responsibility at Orbital. We ask all team members to follow our security policies, complete regular awareness training, and handle sensitive data with care in line with ISO 27001 standards. Spot something unusual? Reporting risks or incidents quickly helps us maintain the strong culture of security and compliance we all depend on.

💡 At Orbital, we’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We especially welcome applications from people who are traditionally underrepresented in tech. Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, or if the right role isn’t listed yet, we’d still love to hear from you.

💰 This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on several factors, which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and business requirements.
