Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Chief of Staff

Position Overview
Transparent Energy is seeking a Head of Strategic Partnerships to build and lead a high-impact channel strategy focused on generating new business through enterprise strategic partners serving large commercial and industrial energy users.
This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic relationships with organizations where Transparent Energy’s capabilities can complement or extend an existing client offering. The objective is straightforward: build a scalable network of partners that consistently generates qualified opportunities and revenue for Transparent Energy.
The ideal candidate is a senior commercial professional who combines exceptional relationship-management skills with executive presence, enterprise sales discipline, and the ability to identify mutually beneficial business models. This person must be equally comfortable developing relationships with senior executives, navigating complex organizations, structuring commercial partnerships, and working directly with partners to convert relationships into active client opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Development
  • Develop and execute Transparent Energy’s strategy for originating new business through strategic partners.
  • Identify and prioritize energy brokers, consultants, advisory firms, professional services organizations, and other potential partners whose client relationships and capabilities are complementary to Transparent Energy.
  • Build relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers within target partner organizations.
  • Develop compelling partnership models that enable partners to incorporate Transparent Energy’s energy procurement capabilities into their existing client relationships and service offerings.
  • Negotiate and structure partnership arrangements that create sustainable value for Transparent Energy, its partners, and their clients.
Partner-Driven Business Development
  • Own revenue generation and qualified pipeline originating from the strategic partnerships channel.
  • Work with partners to identify opportunities within their existing client bases where Transparent Energy can provide procurement, technology, market expertise, or other complementary capabilities.
  • Develop account strategies for high-value partner relationships and translate those relationships into specific client opportunities.
  • Collaborate with partners throughout the sales process, including prospect identification, introductions, discovery, solution development, executive engagement, and closing.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline of partner-generated opportunities and consistently advance opportunities toward revenue.
Relationship Management
  • Serve as the senior relationship owner for Transparent Energy’s most important strategic partners.
  • Establish trusted, long-term relationships with executives and commercial leaders across partner organizations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each partner’s business model, client base, commercial priorities, capabilities, and competitive positioning.
  • Create regular engagement with partners to identify new opportunities, resolve barriers, and expand the scope and productivity of the relationship.
  • Represent Transparent Energy as a credible, sophisticated, and highly responsive partner to senior external stakeholders.
Partnership Strategy & Market Development
  • Identify new categories of potential partners and routes to market where Transparent Energy’s capabilities can create differentiated value.
  • Evaluate prospective partnerships based on strategic fit, revenue potential, client overlap, ease of execution, and long-term scalability.
  • Develop partnership value propositions, commercial structures, sales materials, and go-to-market strategies tailored to different partner types.
  • Monitor market developments and competitive dynamics to identify emerging partnership opportunities.
  • Provide leadership with visibility into partnership pipeline, performance, market feedback, and opportunities for investment or expansion.
Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management, Operations, Marketing, and executive leadership to ensure partner-generated opportunities receive appropriate support and follow-through.
  • Coordinate internal resources to develop solutions that meet the needs of partners and their clients.
  • Establish clear processes for partner referrals, opportunity ownership, pipeline tracking, commercial arrangements, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Serve as the internal advocate for strategic partners while ensuring partnerships remain aligned with Transparent Energy’s commercial objectives.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, business development, professional services, energy, or a related commercial field.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing senior-level relationships that resulted in meaningful revenue generation.
  • Experience selling complex B2B services or solutions to large commercial and institutional organizations.
  • Experience developing business through intermediaries, channel partners, referral relationships, consultants, or professional-services organizations strongly preferred.
  • Ability to independently originate relationships and opportunities rather than relying primarily on inbound leads or established accounts.
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience within energy, energy procurement, sustainability, consulting, commercial real estate, private equity, insurance, financial services, or other relationship-driven professional-services markets is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
