In this role, you will:
- Establish and lead the Wholesale Core Banking Modernization Office, including governance, operating model, organizational structure, staffing strategy, and executive reporting
- Execute through a multi-disciplinary team of Product SMEs, Technology Leads, Program resources, and external consulting partners supporting discovery and implementation planning
- Define the long-term organization, leadership structure, and resource model required to execute the modernization program through implementation
- Lead discovery across key workstreams, including legacy infrastructure decomposition, account analysis and billing modernization, strategic platform assessment, target architecture definition, migration strategy, MVP roadmap development, and wholesale product impact assessments
- Partner with Product & Technology leadership to define the future-state architecture, platform strategy, coexistence model, integration framework, data strategy, and real-time operating model
- With the help of AI capabilities, lead analysis of business capabilities embedded within legacy infrastructure, identifying opportunities to modernize, decouple, simplify, and migrate capabilities to strategic platforms and services
- Oversee assessment of strategic platform capabilities and collaborate with stakeholders across wholesale banking areas as well as by applying AI - including GPL, CB, CIB, Lending, Markets, FX, and Operations-to identify functional gaps, required supporting services, integration requirements, and the target ecosystem needed to support current and future business capabilities
- Establish program governance, integrated planning, financial management, risk management, dependency management, and executive decision forums
- Develop the modernization roadmap, business case, funding requirements, implementation strategy, and resource plan required for executive approval and investment planning
- Serve as the primary accountable executive for program execution, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and delivery outcomes
- Build a scalable delivery organization capable of supporting a multi-year transformation spanning product, operations, AI, technology, data, payments, and client servicing capabilities
- 10+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 6+ years of Management experience
- 10+ years of large-scale IT management, technology transformation, and/or enterprise program/project management experience, preferably in financial services or payments.
- Experience leading complex discovery, strategy, and implementation planning efforts for banking or financial services modernization initiatives
- Proven experience applying or having teams applying AI for Product discovery, documentation and application migration
- Strong understanding of core banking, deposits, transaction banking, treasury management, liquidity products, or related financial services domains
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms and infrastructure, including decomposition, migration planning, coexistence strategies, and target-state architecture development
- Experience managing large cross-functional teams consisting of product, technology, operations, architecture, program management, and consulting resources
- Experience building governance frameworks, operating models, staffing plans, and delivery organizations from inception
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills
- Experience developing executive business cases, investment recommendations, implementation roadmaps, and senior leadership materials
- Strong understanding of risk, control, regulatory, resiliency, and operational readiness requirements within a regulated financial institution
- Operate as the senior accountable executive for Wholesale Core Banking Modernization, driving alignment and execution across lines of business, product organizations, and enterprise partners to deliver modernization outcomes that support current and future business needs.
- Build and lead a new AI-led modernization organization while simultaneously driving delivery of discovery and implementation planning
- Lead a blended organization of Wells Fargo resources and external partners to deliver complex transformation outcomes
- Influence senior leaders across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Control functions without direct authority
- Create structure, clarity, accountability, and delivery discipline in a highly complex transformation environment
- Balance strategic planning, organizational design, technology modernization, and execution delivery to achieve enterprise outcomes
