Provides nursing care in an acute-care emergency department, including IV placement, phlebotomy, vital-sign monitoring, injections, treatment response reporting, documentation, patient preparation, and assistance with procedures. Requires a current New York LPN license, at least one year of experience, ED experience, CPR certification, and weekend and holiday availability. The contract is 20 weeks, with evening 12-hour shifts three days per week.
We are seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with Emergency Department experience to provide quality patient care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in IV placement and phlebotomy and able to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision.

For Traveler - $2196 total weekly gross for 36 hour / week -$61/hour($27/hour W-2 taxable , $34/hour non taxable stipend )

Responsibilities- Provide patient care in an acute care/ED setting.
- Place IVs and perform phlebotomy.
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for procedures.
- Assist providers with examinations, injections, and other procedures.
- Administer injections within scope of practice.
- Monitor and report patient responses to treatments.
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas.
- Implement nursing care activities according to the nursing care plan.
- Assist with unit management and general clinical duties.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Current New York State LPN license required.
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required.
- Emergency Department (ER) experience required.
- Prior inpatient/acute care experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform IV placement and phlebotomy.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain/renew certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience strongly preferred.
- Every other weekend required.
- Some holiday coverage required.
- Must be flexible to meet department scheduling needs.
