Diptyque is a Luxury Fragrance House that has established itself as one of the most renowned, leading fragrance houses within the luxury market today. Founded in 1961, the Maison is known for its mix of iconic scented candles, personal fragrances, bath and body products, and home décor. Its flagship boutique is in Paris' 5th arrondissement at 34 Boulevard Saint Germain.

Overview

We are seeking an HR Generalist on a temporary basis to oversee human resources operations across a designated retail and wholesale region. This role will support the recruitment needs for retail leadership roles. The ideal candidate will excel in executing regional HR strategy, applying policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence to HR compliance. This position requires a proactive and collaborative professional with experience in both retail and wholesale environments.

The expected project duration is approximately 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with retail and wholesale leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives across the assigned region.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, workforce planning, and performance management.
  • Partner with and guide Office Coordinator to ensure smooth office and facilities operations. 
  • Partner with HR Leadership to execute performance reviews.
  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures are consistently implemented and comply with labor laws.
  • Own performance management processes in partnership with regional leadership.
  • Visit retail stores and work with the teams and managers through formal store visits and regional calls as needed.
  • Participate in the new hire onboarding and employee offboarding processes and conduct exit interviews.
  • Support SVP of HR with company-wide initiatives, policy changes, and special projects.
  • Support managers in coaching, developing, and retaining top talent across retail and wholesale teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of HR experience, with a focus on retail industry.
  • Proven experience with HR policies and procedures, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office Suit.
  • Experience managing HR operations for multi-site retail locations.
