Description

This is an on-site position no remote work available.  Travel to the Brockport office is required in the interim.

The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting that mission by providing exceptional Human Resources support across multiple areas of the organization. 

This position is responsible for a broad range of Human Resources functions including HR operations, HRIS administration, payroll support, onboarding and orientation, training and development, employee records management, leave of absence, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented HR professional with healthcare experience who enjoys balancing operational excellence with employee engagement while supporting Oak Orchard Health's mission, vision, and values.

This position will be the HR Generalist for our Batavia, Pembroke and Alexander locations. Travel between sites is required. 

Requirements


  • Support HR operations through reporting, workforce analytics, compliance audits, payroll audits, payroll backup support, and employee payroll inquiries.  
  • Coordinate and support onboarding activities, including post-employment processes, new hire orientation, student and resident onboarding, and creating a positive employee experience from offer acceptance through orientation.  
  • Assist with training and development initiatives by creating training materials, tracking completion records, evaluating program effectiveness, and supporting employee growth opportunities.  
  • Assist employees with all leave of absence requests.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, organizational policies, and payor enrollment requirements as needed.  
  • Participate in HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional support activities to advance departmental and organizational goals. 

  Required 

  • 3–5 years of Human Resources experience.  
  • Healthcare Human Resources experience required.  
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.  
  • Ability to travel between Oak Orchard Health locations is required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.  

Preferred 

  • Bachelor's degree  
  • Experience facilitating employee orientation and onboarding.  
  • Leave of absence experience
  • Experience developing and delivering employee training.
