Freshly is looking for a talented Director of HRIS & Total Rewards who will be responsible for the design, implementation and communication of a compelling Total Rewards Strategy. This person will ensure that all of our reward programs are competitive, sustainable, scalable, and have a positive impact on the short and long-term performance of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director will lead the development of a Total Rewards strategy that will further support our efforts to attract, motivate, and retain top talent, building a great place to work.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, communicate and administer competitive total rewards strategies, including, but not limited to compensation and benefits that are retentive, cost effective and consistent with labor market trends and organizational objectives
  • Demonstrates thought leadership on the development of total rewards methodologies and philosophy, including supporting policies and practices
  • Leads the project to separate from PEO provider with a focus on strategically insourcing functions that will provide the greatest value to the organization
  • Analyzes current rewards programs to ensure they align with our business strategy and ensures that our rewards programs optimize our ability to attract and retain top talent
  • Oversees the design and administration of compensation programs including base pay, variable pay, merit, compensation planning, and market analysis with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Manages executive level compensation and benefits, including administering equity programs in partnership with global counterparts. Provides expertise in plan design, competitive trends, and benefit compliance.
  • Oversees the management of our benefits vendor relationships, benefits contracts, and bid negotiation
  • Develops a comprehensive total rewards communication strategy. Drafts related written communications and spearheads annual benefit programs open enrollment process and the annual total compensation review including compensation planning
  • Ensures compliance with all governmental regulations related to compensation and benefits programs
  • Analyzes the market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of our compensation and benefit plans to ensure they optimize our ability to attract and retain top talent
  • Leverages technology and partners with HR colleagues to develop the technical systems, automated business processes and workflows that support total rewards program delivery
  • Provides insightful data to guide decision making and offers proactive solutions
  • Serves as the M&A HR lead for any future due diligence and subsequent integration as needed

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Administration or other related field; Master’s preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years designing and implementing Total Rewards Programs
  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Prior experience unraveling an organization from a PEO with strategic evaluation of which functions are brought in house and which are outsourced
  • A track record of designing and implementing successful and creative compensation and benefit programs
  • A progressive approach to total rewards strategy, design and implementation
  • Knowledge and experience across the spectrum of broad-based total rewards and in-depth understanding of executive compensation design and administration
  • In-depth knowledge of the benefits marketplace including differences between insurers, marketplace trends, benchmarking and changes in the legislative framework affecting benefits
  • Current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, including, but not limited to ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADAA, COBRA, OSHA, HIPAA, Workers’ Compensation, and other applicable Labor and/or Tax laws and regulations; fulfills compliance and reporting requirements
  • Executive compensation experience with prior experience interfacing with a global compensation team
  • Strong technical, managerial, and team building skills with the ability to balance tactical and strategic responsibilities
