Away is a global lifestyle brand with a mission to transform travel through products and content that inspire people to get away more. In support of our mission, we are seeking a People Partner to join our People + Culture team.

Want to help us transform the travel experience? The ideal candidate will have had strong experience in employee relations, coaching & development of senior leaders, and organizational development and design. We are looking for someone that has the ability to zoom out and keep strategic focus on scaling for growth and retention. You will work closely with senior leaders across the business as well as the broader People + Culture team (People Ops, People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Benefits, etc.) and report into the Director, People Partners. This position will be based in our NYC office.

What You'll Do:

  • Have a deep understanding of the business and be a thought leader on people and organizational topics within your dedicated team as well as cross-functionally
  • Partner with senior business leaders to develop thoughtful, scalable people-focused initiatives focusing on recruitment, retention, engagement, recognition and talent management
  • Coach business leaders on employee relations matters including performance management, feedback and career pathing
  • Partner with People Strategy to develop manager and team trainings focused on development, culture and career growth 
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and FP&A team on strategic headcount planning, identifying critical roles and succession planning
  • Collaborate with the People Partner team to accelerate a culture of innovation and development while providing employees and managers the tools they need to be successful

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressively more HR or relevant experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, change management and facilitation skills
  • Strong relationship aptitude
  • Support the acquisition and retention of top talent
  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices, global experience a plus
  • Identify, resolve or refer complex issues in support of a positive work environment
  • Interpret policies and regulations to ensure fair and equitable resolution of issues
  • Ability to use people metrics and analytics to identify trends
  • Hard working with a "no task is too small" attitude
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment
  • Passionate about travel (but that’s a given!)
