ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented, data-driven, detail-oriented Manager to join the HR function of our People team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, passionate about helping people, resourceful, super human ability to problem-solve and have deep knowledge of best-in-class people strategies. This individual will report into our SVP, People and will work across the organization in an effort to create a rewarding experience for everyone at VTS. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, passionate about helping people, a great problem-solver and have deep knowledge of best-in-class people strategies.

You will be the SVP, People’s right hand meaning you will proactively drive People initiatives and work to constantly challenge the status quo. We are a team that does a lot with a little, is passionate about the employee experience and works hard to create a white glove experience for our people.

You will...

  • Develop policies, procedures and programs that help our employees navigate life at VTS, then act as a key business partner for all departments
  • Partner with leaders across the company to create an inclusive, vibrant and fun working environment. This includes everything from onboarding and offboarding to feedback and performance reviews, compliance, employee relations, employee education and training.
  • Align VTS’ talent management strategy with key business goals through the use of analytics and insights
  • Determine the strategy and own the administration of our payroll, benefits, policies & processes, working to ensure they’re seamless and straightforward but not over-architected
  • Work closely with the People team to drive retention strategies through core values definition, and actions that reflect those values
  • Collaborate with our diversity committee to identify gaps and opportunities within our existing D&I strategy to provide an inclusive environment for all of our employees
  • Work with senior managers to strategize on all L&D initiatives 
  • Be responsible for building relationships with client groups, including cross functional teams to implement strategies that meet the development objectives of VTS
  • Understands the importance of looking at our people strategy and processes through a D&I lens - bonus points for prior experience or a passion for building a comprehensive employee engagement program that caters to a diverse workforce
  • Serve as primary contact to assist employees in resolving issues 
  • Deliver appropriate coaching and development feedback to managers and employees
  • Provide expertise in planning and execution of employee relations efforts
  • Partner with the business to ensure that the people elements of the business objectives are delivered
  • Be a champion of the company’s culture ensuring that our values are embedded in everything that we do
  • Provide innovative solutions to support the business through rapid growth 
  • Be instrumental in analyzing engagement survey data and ensuring that there is an effective communication strategy and action plan to respond to the feedback
  • Be responsible for the implementation of initiatives relating to organizational planning, goal setting, promotion process, performance management and compensation process

You have...

  • 5+ years of business partner or HR generalist experience at a rapidly growing startup
  • BA/BS degree with emphasis in HR or equivalent
  • Experience in a media or high-tech organization
  • Demonstrated project management/change management skills
  • Comfortable operating in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building, consulting, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Exceptional consulting, coaching and facilitation skills
  • M & A integration experience is a bonus
