MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

 

The Talent Programs Team Lead is is responsible for ensuring the successful resourcing of external suppliers for determined programs, in accordance with the organization requirements, both in terms of quality, cost and team capacity. All work must be based on upholding the Welocalize Four Pillars of Customer Service, Quality, Innovation and Global Teamwork

Responsibilities and Areas of Ownership

  • Responsible of all resourcing processes in the programs involved, including:
  • Talent engagement and retention initiatives with external resources.
  • Rates negotiations strategies and standardization of buy rates.
  • Support the vendor quality initiatives, by:
  • Tracking vendors’ quality and service performance
  • Promote and lead the implementation of improvement actions resulting from vendor issues.
  • Lead, motivate and act as first escalation point for the individuals in her team, some specific actions being:
  • Workloads, roles and responsibilities of the whole team
  • Ensure team capacity to meet client specific demands
  • Monitoring KPIs
  • Deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on the status of all projects
  • Handle Financial Management actions that affect functional area 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a college or university in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master’s degree in Translation/Interpreting/Translation Technologies/Human Resources/Talent Management is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in functional area
  • At least 2 year's experience as Team Lead or equivalent position
  • Previous experience or knowledge on Life Sciences, Patents and/or Legal work is a plus
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, ideally in the translation or localization industry.
  • Knowledge of the translation industry and a keen interest in its technology, process, competitive landscape and emerging trends.

Bonus skills

  • Excellent knowledge of localization industry and keeps up-to-date with market trends and relevant news
  • Native or near native level of English. Knowledge of other languages is desirable.
  • Effective Communication: Position will require effective communication at a management level with all members of team internally and externally to assure workflow is effective and efficient.
  • Proven leadership: strong leadership role able to energize and motivate own team and develop professional growth within the organization.
