Valon is building the AI-native operating system for regulated finance, starting with mortgage servicing.
We're a Series C company backed by a16z, transforming industries that others have written off as too complex to innovate.
Rather than build on top of broken legacy systems, we took a different approach: we built and operate our own mortgage servicing business managing $110+ billion in loans. This wasn't the end goal, it was how we deeply understood the complexity needed to build software that actually works in regulated industries.
The results speak for themselves. We've transformed mortgage servicing from a 0% margin business into 60%+ margins while dramatically improving customer experience. Major enterprise contracts are now deploying across the industry.
ValonOS is our unified platform that makes every process structured and programmable and it is perfectly positioned for the AI era. When everything flows through one system with rich data, AI agents don't just automate tasks, they continuously improve entire operations. Mortgage servicing is just the beginning of our vision to transform regulated industries and beyond.
Valon is deploying ValonOS, an AI‑native operating system for complex, regulated operations, with a high‑touch implementation model that pairs great software with world‑class on‑the‑ground execution. As an Implementation Manager, you keep complex, multi‑stakeholder programs moving with clarity, pace, and trust. You are the client’s primary day‑to‑day partner and the internal conductor who aligns Deployment Strategy, Forward‑Deployed Engineering, Product, and Operations to deliver outcomes quickly and safely.
What You’ll DoOwn the plan of record for an enterprise deployment
Keep track of all tasks, risks, issues, and open items across different work areas. Surface critical path, dependencies, and decision needs with precision.
Drive execution to timeline
Anticipate long‑lead blockers, assign DRIs, set clear timelines, and burn down risks. Balance speed with quality in regulated, legacy environments.
Be the main client touchpoint
Build trusted relationships with project manager counterparts and business leaders. Read the room, manage expectations, and translate feedback into crisp actions.
Orchestrate cross‑functional teams
Coordinate Deployment Strategists, Forward Deployed Engineers, Engineering, Product, and Analytics from discovery through go live.
Manage scope and change
Capture requests, cluster themes, and route to the minimum viable path. Use off‑the‑shelf assets and sessions to avoid bespoke work where possible.
Land enablement and adoption
Plan and run training, comms, and readiness for target user cohorts. Track adoption against thresholds and close gaps.
Run executive cadence
Prepare materials and drive steering forums with client executives. Keep decisions, risks, and value tracking transparent and on‑track.
Contribute to the playbook
Codify templates, checklists, and talk tracks that make future deployments faster and more repeatable.
Clear, living plan of record with no surprises on critical path.
Risks and dependencies surfaced early and burned down proactively.
Transition completed smoothly with minimal business disruption and contingency plans ready but not needed.
Client stakeholders trust the program and feel well‑managed; decisions made to cadence.
Adoption targets achieved with trained users and a stable support model.
Minimal bespoke build through smart expectation‑setting and strong use of existing assets.
3–6 years in implementation management, consulting, program management, or similar roles driving complex enterprise rollouts.
Exceptional organization and written/verbal communication. Operate with clarity in ambiguity and high‑stakes settings.
Relationship builder with high EQ who earns trusted‑advisor status with counterparts and executives.
Strong judgment on when to escalate, when to say no, and how to scope to the minimum viable path.
Comfortable coordinating across multiple vendors and stakeholders in complex, compliance‑sensitive environments.
Experience in implementation management, consulting, investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or enterprise software deployment where you managed cross‑functional workstreams under tight timelines.
Background in forward‑deployed work with product or engineering teams.
Fluency with program tools like Notion, Google Workspace, and project/issue trackers.
Hybrid, high‑ownership environment with small, senior teams.
Expected travel ~25% to client sites and key working sessions, flexing up around milestones.
Small, high‑trust teams where ownership beats ceremony.
We treat implementation as 50% of the product: success = software + deployment.
Builders over coordinators. You own outcomes, not just tasks.
Proven in the real world. ValonOS is battle‑tested in live operations, so you’re not pushing a slide‑ware roadmap — you’re deploying capabilities that already deliver value.
Build with elite partners. You’ll work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with former founders, ex‑FAANG engineers, and consultants who prize ownership and pace over ceremony.
Direct line to impact. Your programs unlock measurable P&L outcomes for customers — faster time‑to‑value, lower cost to operate, better customer experience — and those wins shape our product roadmap.
High‑trust autonomy. Small, senior teams with clear goals. You’ll make the calls, run the room, and ship. We optimize for leverage, not meetings.
Career compounder. The role blends executive customer exposure, complex transformation, and product influence — a rare mix that compounds your judgment and scope.
Momentum and market pull. Legacy transformations are inevitable; our AI‑native approach lets enterprises leapfrog, not inch forward. You’ll be at the tip of that spear.
