Trayd, in one sentence

Trayd is building the operating system for commercial construction: payroll, compliance, and back office workflows that actually work in the real world.

Construction is one of the largest industries in North America, yet much of the software that runs it is outdated, manual, and fragile. Companies spend hours every week reconciling payroll, tracking job costs, and managing compliance across disconnected systems. The consequences of mistakes are real. Workers do not get paid correctly. Businesses lose time and money. Stress compounds.

We are changing that.

We help subcontractors run payroll, manage workers, and operate their businesses with confidence. That means onboarding is not a checkbox process. It is a critical moment where customers trust us with their data, their workflows, and their business operations.

We are in the next phase of growth, with accelerating customer demand and a platform that runs real payroll every week, and we are scaling the team to match it.

Trayd is based in New York and backed by Y Combinator.

The role

We are hiring an implementation analyst to help launch new customers onto Trayd.

This is a highly customer-facing, data-heavy role where you will own onboarding projects from start to finish. You will work directly with construction companies to understand how they run payroll today, migrate their data into Trayd, and ensure they launch successfully.

Every customer is different. Every migration is a puzzle. You will be solving real operational problems that impact whether a business can run payroll correctly.

This role sits at the intersection of customer success, data, and operations, and is one of the fastest ways to learn how companies actually run.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during onboarding, building trust and guiding them through the transition to Trayd.
  • Work directly with payroll managers, finance leaders, and business owners to understand how their company operates today.
  • Lead customers through complex data migrations, ensuring their payroll, workforce, and historical data move accurately into Trayd.
  • Diagnose and solve messy real-world problems, from data inconsistencies to workflow gaps, in partnership with engineering and product.
  • Manage timelines and expectations so customers launch successfully and confidently.
  • Support customers through their first live payroll runs, one of the most critical moments in the onboarding journey.
  • Identify patterns across implementations and help improve how we onboard customers as the company scales.

Why this role is different

  • Direct customer impact. You will see the results of your work immediately.
  • High ownership early. You own launches, not just tasks.
  • Real problem solving. No two implementations are the same.
  • Strong learning curve. Data, product, operations, and customer strategy all in one role.
  • Career growth. This role is a path toward senior implementation, product, or leadership positions.
  • In-person team. We work together in Soho five days a week because speed and collaboration matter.

Who you are

  • You have 1 to 3 years of experience in consulting, startups, operations, analytics, or similar roles.
  • You are comfortable working with data and have strong Excel skills.
  • You are organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • You communicate clearly and are comfortable interacting with customers and internal teams.
  • You have a high ownership mindset and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • You are curious and motivated to learn quickly.
  • You are NYC-based or ready to relocate quickly.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL or data analysis tools.
  • Exposure to startups or customer-facing roles.

Working style

This is an in-person role in SoHo, five days a week. We move quickly, collaborate constantly, and value people who take initiative and ownership.

If you want to work directly with customers and learn how companies actually operate while helping them succeed, you will fit here.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $85,000 – $100,000 per year.
