The role

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to oversee our US indirect tax compliance, with a focus on sales and use tax but also property tax and indirect tax incentives compliance. This role will be responsible for managing tax filings, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions, supporting audits, and improving tax processes. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, hands-on compliance experience, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage end-to-end sales and use tax compliance, including registrations, tax return preparation, review, and filing across multiple US jurisdictions
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, payments, and reconciliations
  • Monitor nexus and interpret legislation changes in state and local tax regulations across different US states and assess impact on the business
  • Support and manage indirect tax audits, including responding to information requests and liaising with tax authorities
  • Maintain and improve tax determination, reporting, and compliance processes
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Legal and Operations teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions
  • Review and maintain taxability matrices and exemption certificate processes
  • Assist with tax technology and automation initiatives, including optimization of NetSuite and other tools
  • Support special projects such as nexus studies, voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs), and process improvements
  • Coordinate real and personal property tax filings, assessments, and related compliance activities across different US locations
  • Work across different business units within the group and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage on tax risks monitoring and quarter-end and year-end closing activities related to indirect taxes
  • The role will also partner with internal stakeholders to support scalable tax processes in a dynamic business environment

We expect you to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field (CPA or MST preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in indirect tax, with strong focus on US sales & use tax
  • Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and filings
  • Experience handling or supporting state tax audits
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite (or similar ERP systems) required
  • Experience with tax engines (e.g., Avalara, Vertex) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of US indirect tax regulations and nexus rules
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills

Pay Transparency

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, the level at which the candidate is hired, and geographic location, consistent with applicable law.

Base Compensation Range
$111,900$139,800 USD
