Job Description

Job Purpose: Design the appearance and aesthetics of small kitchen appliances for Gourmia. The role involves leveraging deep knowledge of consumer product appeal and market research to craft designs that resonate with a broad market audience.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and design new product concepts for small kitchen appliances.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs are feasible and meet the company’s quality standards.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on the latest trends in kitchen appliance aesthetics and user preferences.
  • Prepare sketches, prototypes, and detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
  • Gather feedback from focus groups or surveys to refine designs.
  • Work with manufacturers to ensure the final product adheres to the intended design specifications.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or related field.

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience in industrial design, specifically with consumer products.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.
  • Ability to conduct and interpret market research.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience specifically in kitchen or home appliance design.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily in-office, with occasional visits to manufacturing sites or vendors.

Additional Information

Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000
